Beautiful hotel has everything you want on vacation beach, pool, 4 restaurants and a schedule of events daily Live entertainment every night musicians and singers. A system of shuttles to move you from room to reception An excellent breakfast buffet But what really makes this a 5 star is the staff Everyone asks your name and address you by your name, they are friendly and helpful. Around the grounds wherever beach or pool they bring you water or fruit or ice cream or some treat to make your day.

Windjammer is one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at. Just an absolutely beautiful setting with a pristine beach, tons to do and brilliant staff. We were a family of five travelling for my mum’s 60th birthday and my parents’ anniversary. We were lucky to be upgraded from the basic oasis rooms to three one bedroom hillside villas, which were stunning. They were so spacious and had lovely terraces with ocean and garden views (although some were more private than others - our villa 122 might be a good one to request if you want more privacy!). The housekeeping team were excellent and villas were always spotless. The resort itself is expansive but still feels charming and friendly (largely thanks to the warm welcome from all of the staff). We loved the daily activities form aqua classes to volleyball! The beach was our highlight - Windjammer sits in a protected bay so it’s very safe for swimming and never felt too busy. Darnell on the beach took great care of us organising our beds each day and ensuring we had all the refreshments we need! He was our superstar and gave us ten star service, even preparing a special cake for my parents when he found out it was their anniversary. Thank you, Darnell! The food was delicious and loads of choice (although be warned you need to book the restaurants in advance). Our favourites were Papa Dons (amazing pizza, lovely sunset views and June takes such pride in making all her guests feel at home) and the Upper deck steakhouse, which also had exceptional service. The pools are lovely and not too busy (the one up by Papa Dons was empty half the time so you could have a good swim). And it’s easy to get sunbeds and towels. We also really enjoyed the nightly entertainment and local acts at Jammers! It was a lot of fun. We’d highly recommend Windjammer and very much hope to be back one day soon!

There are a couple good things about this resort but a lot of weird and annoying quirks. The good: The location and views are fantastic. The beach is also great with plenty of chairs. Was never an issue to get a chair, any time of day. Water was nice and calm also. We also very much enjoyed the food, especially at the upper deck restaurant. These save the review from being a 1 star. The bad and weird: This resort offers an all inclusive package, non all inclusive and then there are also people that have timeshares here. This on the surface is fine, but their is no way for the staff to distinguish who is who. Because of this you need to sign for EVERY single transaction. While i understand this is to track bills for people who are not on the all inclusive plans, it sometimes felt predatory to try and get you to leave more tips then you normally would at an AI resort, because you could see the "price" of what you just had. I heard a staff member audibly complain about a $5 USD tip I left for the breakfast buffet, where the only thing a staff member did was direct us to our table. The prices also seemed extremely high if you weren't on a AI package. Also extremely annoying to have to sign for single drinks if you are walking around and want to get a quick one from the bar. There needs to be something implemented to distinguish which quests are on which package. This is the first AI resort that I have stayed in that had absolutely nothing stocked in the room as far as drinks/snacks. I'm not expecting a full spread, but a couple of bottles of water would be nice. I called our concierge to ask about this and we were told that we could buy bottles of water from the shop on site. The next time we were at the front desk we were told the nightly turndown service would bring waters to our room each night. So I'm not sure why the concierge was telling us to purchase it separately. We were there for 4 nights and we only received water once. I called each time and told it would be delivered but it never came. Unless we missed it, there was no real place for snacks, aside from the ice cream stand, if you wanted something quick and easy. You needed to do a full on sit down meal each time. Housekeeping would drop fresh towels off at the room, but they'd be left in a clear garbage bag outside your door. When we first saw this we had no idea if these were clean or dirty. This is extremely unusual. There was a bag of towels that said on the ledge near our villa the entire stay. The villas themselves are fine, but in need of some freshening up. Upon checkout we also noticed we were charged a $40USD upcharge for a single drink at a lunch (a drink we never ordered, or consumed). They did take it off of bill after about 10 minutes of the front desk staff speaking with a manager Overall this place is a 3 star resort masquerading as a 5 star. An overhaul of their payment/bracelet system and updating the rooms would take it to the 5 star they want it to be.

Having had a few issues with Windjammer in the past it is livrny to give a positive report. The food has improved and the food at Upper Deck in particular was excellent. I would be very happy to eat there again. Great service by Joel and staff and a happy atmosphere. My duck confit with dauphinnoise potatoes outstanding as was the dessert. My husband had his starter and repeated it in lieu of a dessert. Our villa was in reasonable condition and the kitchen well stocked. We do a fair amount of cooking so this was important. Grania our housekeeper was a delight and looked after us very well. Unfortunately I got a lurgy in the first week so isolated. The management could not have been more helpful, even sending me up a second fruit bowl, bottle of rum (!) and a handwritten note from Nick offering further help if I needed it. So kind. Once recovered I was delighted to see Happy Hour had been reinstated. We reacquainted with old friends and made some new ones. It was a very happy crowd. Shout out to all the bar staff and in particular “Travis the Trainer” who is doing a super job, Keagan who washes glasses and is a super Barman in Training, Joel - now a leading light and many others.Eli for his amazing cocktails and thanks everyone for introducing me to the Chado Blenny cocktail, a new favourite. Jammers food was hot and good this time. The poolside service with the insulated bento boxes a great improvement and thanks for my sorrel sorbets from the beach staff. Sadly the coconuts never made it to me. . All the staff, too numerous to mention, were superb. It really did feel like a home-from-home. “Karma” the server at Jammers made my catch up lunch with friends very special. Wendy I have known for years ! Communal areas very clean (thanks Sharon and team) and it was good to see hand sanitisers everywhere. Also the use of the Caribbean Blue local products a nice touch. It is difficult to please us “old-timers” whilst attracting new people to the resort but the social mix was excellent this year. Well done Nick, Lindon, Richard and team.

What a fantastic resort! From the moment you walk in to the lobby, you are taken care of so well that you never want to leave. The food is great, the service is amazing, and our villa was so incredibly beautiful. The views are spectacular. What an experience! It was beyond anything we could have imagined, and we will definitely be back.
