Reviews for Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort

Overall, average. Beware of check out scam!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 20 hours ago

We stayed at the Windjammer and overall left feeling okay about the experience. The island itself is STUNNING and the resort has some of the best views of the island. We got upgraded to a beautiful hill top villa and it was one of the prettiest views I’ve ever seen. The shuttles run super regularly and they are super quick to come get you every morning / evening when you want to go down to the common areas. Experience - everything was great until we went to check out and were handed a bill for an additional $1900 USD. I could understand a clerical error and things needing to be rerun, but the 3 groups in front of us had the same bill disputes going on. It was SOOO disappointing to end our vacation on this note… really hard to feel like they weren’t trying to scam us all. Like I said, every single group ahead and behind us had the same experience… DO NOT blindly pay your bill at the end of your stay. Take the time to comb through each charge carefully… at the end, they removed 75% of the charges that should NOT have been there…. I cannot emphasize this enough. It seems to be common practice to charge people for things they should not be charging for. Food - average at best. Overall, it was okay. There’s really no other way to describe it. It was edible, but beyond that we didn’t feel like it was anything to write home about. If you do the all inclusive, you might feel like it’s more worth it (you can try different things etc), but if I was paying their VERY high menu prices for what we got, I would have left feeling pretty upset… Drinks - if you plan to drink, definitely do the all inclusive. The drinks will run you $20 USD per drink. Staff - we had some great experiences with some of the staff! Especially Terry, who helped us with our towels on the beach, Nate, with whom we shared a lot of laughs and great conversations, and Elijah, our favorite bar tender. Everyone is very willing to help and front desk staff will help with whatever you need. Villas - absolutely stunning. Try to stay in one of the hill top villas if possible. You will feel like you’re living in a movie

Enjoyable All-Inclusive Experience

We stayed at the Windjammer Landings for 2 weeks having previously stayed at the resort for 2 weeks in June 2024. Since our previous visit, the resort has undergone some improvements including modernisation to some of the hotel rooms. The resort itself is lovely, in a great location and has a Mediterranean vibe. The grounds are well maintained and the beach area is fantastic. The accomodation was great. We stayed in a 2 bedroom oasis which was very modern and housekeeping was very good. The property was over 3 levels and featured a rooftop which a beautiful view of the beach area. Additionally the shuttle service is always very efficient. One of the biggest issues in the resort is the WiFi as the connection is poor throughout the hotel, particularly at the beach areas. This could be improved. We stayed at the hotel on an all-inclusive basis. The quality of the food is not as good as other all-inclusive resorts we have visited. In general, I would say that there is a mismatch between the quality of the accommodation (which is excellent), and the quality of the food which could be much improved/elevated. In 2024 when we visited, there was the main buffet breakfast as well as the option to have an a-la carte breakfast at the Papa Don’s restaurant (however this option was only available our first week as it was ending for the off-peak season). Now, there is the main buffet breakfast only which is a shame. I would also say the coffee/tea order could be more streamlined as there were a couple of occasions when we had to repeat our drink orders. One morning, I asked for an iced coffee twice and it never arrived. However, there were never any issues on the mornings we were served by Shevron as he was very attentive and remembered our coffee orders. Additionally although it is mango season and there are plenty of mangoes lining the roads, mango was very rarely on offer in the resort. Embers and Jammers Restaurants are open for lunch and feature the same menu daily. This can become very repetitive therefore, daily specials would be helpful to create some variety. Jammers, Dragonfly, Masala, Upper Deck and Papa Don’s are the five a-la carte restaurants open for dinner. When we stayed at the resort in 2024, the Dragonfly restaurant was good however, I would say the quality of the food has decreased since then and is also now almost exclusively a fish restaurant. Additionally, a member of our party got food poisoning after dining at the Dragonfly restaurant. The Masala restaurant (Indian cuisine) was fairly new when we visited in 2024 and the quality of the food was not very good therefore, we only dined once. However, having visited Masala again in 2026, the quality of the food is improved. Nevertheless, the strongest restaurants are Upper Deck (Steakhouse) and Papa Don’s (Italian). Upper Deck has been improved since our last visit and stands in contrast to the other restaurants in the resort in terms of quality. Papa Don’s is very well managed by June and you can tell she cares deeply about the customer experience and the service. June is always present in the restaurant and communicates with the diners. The managers of the other restaurants in the resort are not as visibly present. However, the choice of appetisers at Papa Don’s could be improved (e.g. bruschetta and other starters you would ordinarily find at an Italian restaurant), as I found I was having the same appetiser each time we visited. In 2024 there was the option to reserve specific loungers with the beach staff for the duration of your stay. This is no longer offered. However, as we were visiting in early June, the resort was not overly busy and so we were able to get the same loungers every morning without difficulty. We would like to especially thank Nate, who is one of the waiters at the beach area, for being very friendly and attentive. In terms of the bars, the drink options are vast and of a good quality. We would like to especially thank Kora, Elijah and Skeete who were incredibly friendly and always a joy to speak to.

Paradise at Windjammer Landing

What an exceptional Resort. This is our 4th time going to Windjammer Landing and we can’t wait to go back. It just keeps getting better every time. Such a great relaxing, Family resort. The Staff, Beach, Restaurants, Spa, Excursions, and Accommodations are the best we have ever been too. The Helicopter is an added thrill - that everyone needs to try.

The experience exceeded my expectations. We were upgraded to a 4 bedroom villa with a pool and butler service. The villa was clean. Aiden and Tyrell at the front desk were very pleasant and friendly. I talked about mangoes soo much Aiden was able to get me some ripe ones to enjoy. Wendy at Jammers waa very pleasant and fun to talk to. Definitely a great experience all around.

It was my first visit to st Lucia and certainly not my last after my amazing experience at the windjammer the standards are very high and everything is done with professionalism and genuine warmth from the moment you arrive I was in one of the smaller villas which was ample enough for a solo guest and had a very comfortable bed and amazing views I spent a lot of time in the resort due to the convenience of restaurants and bars and great entertainment there is a lovely gift shop on site and a lovely jewellery shop and a very small grocery shop the staff are genuinely welcoming and friendly and make their way to get to know you and honesty made me feel so special I was treated like a goddess the entire time and I will definitely return thank you all for making me feel special
