Amazing, Paradise

The experience exceeded my expectations. We were upgraded to a 4 bedroom villa with a pool and butler service. The villa was clean. Aiden and Tyrell at the front desk were very pleasant and friendly. I talked about mangoes soo much Aiden was able to get me some ripe ones to enjoy. Wendy at Jammers waa very pleasant and fun to talk to. Definitely a great experience all around.

It was my first visit to st Lucia and certainly not my last after my amazing experience at the windjammer the standards are very high and everything is done with professionalism and genuine warmth from the moment you arrive I was in one of the smaller villas which was ample enough for a solo guest and had a very comfortable bed and amazing views I spent a lot of time in the resort due to the convenience of restaurants and bars and great entertainment there is a lovely gift shop on site and a lovely jewellery shop and a very small grocery shop the staff are genuinely welcoming and friendly and make their way to get to know you and honesty made me feel so special I was treated like a goddess the entire time and I will definitely return thank you all for making me feel special

Amazing week in paradise

Our family of 6 (all adults) had an amazing 9 days at the Windjammer Landing in May. We are seasoned Mexican resorts vacationers and this was our first trip to Saint Lucia and our best tropical trip ever. The resort was beautiful and lush. The beach and pools were clean and very tastefully designed. With many villas on hills, it can be good exercise to walk but not always and the shuttles were usually quick and friendly. The front staff was always helpful. We had an issue with food delivery from a grocer outside the resort and the front desk lady just took care of it. We were very delighted. Apparently we had a butler but we kept forgetting to call him. We rented a beautiful 3 bedroom, 3.5 baths, hilltop villa with a private pool. The villa had 3 levels. The master was on the top floor and the other 2 were on the lower ground floor. All 3 bedrooms had their own ensuites and terraces with ocean views. The spacious living area was on the second floor with a half bath and full kitchen. Our villa was one of the older buildings with the pool in the back, tropical view. It was great at the end of the day to soak and cool off. We bought some floaties at the local store and that made it super fun. The furniture (inside and outside) was very comfortable with contemporary Caribbean designs. Housekeeping and turn down services were great. Lots of towels and water provided daily. We also loved the soap, shampoo and cream. We ate à la cart, therefore, we didn’t try all the restaurants. We enjoyed the pastas and fish at all of the restaurants. The burgers and flatbread pizzas were also quite delicious. We try to eat local food when we travel and we ate quite well here. There were a couple of misses. The breakfast buffet could use more variety and the pizza from room service was disappointing considering it was so good everywhere else. What I enjoyed most about the food here was it wasn’t overly salty but very flavourful. I didn’t wake up each morning bloated. We also ate outside the resort a few of times. Coal Pot had cool ambiance and big portions. Joe’s Grill and Chill on Pigeon Island Beach was surprisingly good as it didn’t look like much on the outside. Cocktails were good and can add up if not on all inclusive. Their local beer, Piton, was refreshing and cheap. Red Stripe from Jamaica was available at the resort store. There wasn’t much of a night scene for my young adults. Maybe because it wasn’t peak season. They didn’t mind as they were active all day. Our young adults thought the water sports were great. Kayaking, boarding, sailing, banana boat, tubing, waterskiing (requires lessons), and swimming to the pier all day and everyday. The volleyball court was rocky and shoes are recommended. We met Tyler on our first morning and he showed us some excursion options. We booked the land and sea day and it was so fun. Super happy we did that and Tyler was so friendly and chatted with us all week afterwards. Nice guy. Highly recommend talking to Tyler if you’re looking for tours. Last but not least, we met a new friend, Earl. We booked the shuttle through the hotel and he picked us up from the airport and became our trusted driver the entire trip. He was just a really nice guy. Took us shopping, sight seeing, recommended places for us to visit and just really great company because he’s intelligent and kind. We can’t wait to come back to Saint Lucia and the Windjammer Landing.

Great Family Resort with All Inclusive Option

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

I'll start by saying that my rating is not 5 stars but 4 stars was too low. So maybe a 4.5 stars. Location: the resort is tucked into a hillside on the northwest corner (Caribbean side) of the island. The downside of the location is that it is an approximately 1.5 hrs drive from UVF airport AND it can be a nauseating drive if you're susceptible to car sickness due to the hilly and winding nature of the roads. Advice is to take some dramamine 1/2 hr to 1 hr before getting in your car. If you can afford the extra +/- $80 plus tip, I'd recommend booking luxury car (black car) transportation through Windjammer. Our driver's name was Ken and he was fantastic and a smooth driver, and drove an Escalade and provided bottled waters, beer, and plaintain chips. We requested and used Ken again for the return trip to UVF. Atmosphere: the buildings have a Mediterranean feel with terracotta looking roofs, bright white painted concrete buildings, and blue accents. The vibe is relaxed and nobody (customers and staff) seemed to care that there were mostly families with kids running around everywhere. Unlike other places we've been where there are designated kids pools and adult only pools, this was very welcoming for families. Room: We stayed in an Oasis 2 bedroom which was absolutely perfect for us. There are 3 levels of living space. The top floor was a rooftop deck with beautiful views of the water and 2 lounge chairs, accessible via staircase off the middle floor. The middle floor had a king bed, couch, dresser, TV, refrigerator, closet, safe, a full bath and it's own air conditioning. There's an internal staircase down to the lower level. The lower level had two twin beds and also had its own full bath, TV, dresser, closet, safe, and own air conditioning. It also had its own key card glass door entrance and deck with 2 chairs and ottomans. The mattresses and pillows were quite comfortable. Room service tidied up daily and at night they do a turn down service, bringing new mineral waters and turning on soothing music. Value: bought an all-inclusive trip on Black Friday. With taxes, fees, etc. it cost under $1000/night for what was essentially 2 rooms and easily $400-$600/day in food and drink. Would have been more value if we had alcohol. Well worth it. Noise Level: you're in a rainforest. There are whistling tree frogs all night. They didn't bother me but the birds started singing at 4am and that sound penetrated the door and woke me. Service: food service at the restaurants was great. June at Papa Don's was an excellent hostess, attentive, and clearly cared about her customers. Edwin who served at Upper Deck was also very attentive. Poolside attendants could use to be more attentive. Amenities: Water Sports was excellent and one of, if not the best, part of Windjammer. Big shoutout to Jameson for being helpful in so many ways, from teaching the kids how to steer a catamaran to driving the boat that pulled the tube rides. He was very friendly and great with the kids. Also wanted to thank Mario for his professionalism in keeping everyone aware of safety on the water, helping with the snorkel gear, and having some fun joking around with the kids. There's plenty to do at their water sports area: water skiing, wakeboarding, knee boarding, peddleboats, 4 and 6 person catamarans, kayaks, snorkeling, tube rides, and wind surfing. You can get lessons for everything too. Life jackets and snorkels were well maintained and CLEAN. Thanks again to Jameson and Mario and the Water sports crew for making our stay a lot of fun. Food: breakfast buffet at Dragonfly was OK. Go to the omelet station for eggs. Plenty of gluten free options like breads and mini muffins. Papa Don's Italian was the best spot for us for dinner and had gluten free breads, pizza and pasta. Upper Deck steakhouse was delicious and a great use of the all inclusive. Jammers and Embers were good for lunch.
