Backpackers trekking through the jungle highlands of Belize a few years ago occasionally stumbled onto a rustic place called Blancaneaux Lodge - then a row of thatched huts above an idyllic valley, where waterfalls drop into granite pools lined with tiger ferns while parrots roost in the palmettos. Francis Ford Coppola himself stumbled upon this same enchanted retreat in the Mountain Pine Ridge reserve in 1981. "I'd been looking for some kind of tropical utopia," Coppola says. "This was the paradise hideaway I was looking for." The rest is history... Welcome to Blancaneaux Lodge.

Spectacular!
We had an extraordinary experience at Blancaneaux Lodge. Fantastic food, great accommodations, and exemplary service throughout the stay. The location is quiet and beautiful. Rooms and property were well maintained and clean. Loved the remote mountain setting. Lots of bang for the buck!

Wonderful stay - fantastic staff and setting!
We had an amazing time at Blancaneaux. The staff were extra fantastic! Special shout out to Edman and Geronimo who were above and beyond excellent. We went as a family and had a wonderful stay. Everything was well thought out, the activities were super fun, the food was good and above all, the setting and staff made everything extra special. We cannot recommend it enough.

Magical, beautiful, unique, truly outstanding
We stayed here to celebrate our daughter and son-in-law’s wedding anniversary with them, and cannot express how magical, stunning, breathtaking, and nurturing the experience was. The staff was outstanding. Our villa was gorgeous, but in the most authentic and eco-friendly way. Eating food grown on the property was also a plus. This was a one-of-a-kind experience. My only caution is that it is situated on a hill with lots of steps. The activities and hikes in the area are somewhat challenging, but worth it.

Amazing Stay
We had a wonderful stay at Blancaneaux Lodge. The views and property are beautiful, but what truly made our experience special was the incredible staff. Everyone was so kind, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. A special thank you to Telma and Elizar, the gardener. It was inspiring to see how passionate Elizar is about his work and how much pride he takes in maintaining the grounds. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so memorable. We look forward to returning soon! If you're looking for a place with beautiful scenery and an incredible team that genuinely cares about its guests, Blancaneaux Lodge is the perfect choice. We are already looking forward to returning and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Belize.

Blancaneaux was absolutely amazing! We loved every second of our stay. From the moment Fransisco met us at BZE we knew we had found the perfect family get away. Fantastic food. Genuine people. Beautiful property. Nestled in nature. Seamless transitions. Top notch tour guides. Blancaneaux has it ALL!

We stayed at the Turtle Inn and Blancaneaux Lodge for a week in October, and it was the best vacation we have ever taken. The cabanas and cottages were lovely, the staff was incredible, and the food was outstanding. It's rare that you come home from vacation without a single negative thing to say - our only criticism is that we couldn't stay longer! It was truly an amazing experience.
