Blancaneaux Lodge

Blancaneaux was one of the most special places we have ever visited and probably the most luxurious and wonderful couples retreat my wife and I have been on (and that's saying quite a lot). First, the enchanted cottage was truly that - we had privacy, beauty, serenity within a spacious and well stocked small home. The private pool was also a treat. Second, the cottage came with a private butler which is something we have had before but honestly shy away from because we don't need that level of personal service which can sometimes be off-putting. Osmani was our butler for the trip and he was wonderful - attentive and knowledgeable but also there when we needed and willing to give us our ample share of privacy. Third, the food was amazing. All of our meals were excellent, even the lunch they packed for our visit to the waterfall. The drinks were also excellent quality. They have a few rotating restaurant choices and each one was truly special. Fourth, the spa was perfect as well. If we arrived a few minutes early that's when our treatment began and each of the treatments we sampled were very high quality. My wife was particularly impressed with the "quality of the products" for her facial treatment. It would be impossible to overstate how wonderful this place is, and we would imagine other Coppola resorts as well but we have yet to try them. Our only helpful suggestion is that we took the hotel arranged transportation from Belize airport on our way to the resort which was an informative but lengthy 2 hour drive after our long flight. While at the resort we were told of the private airstrip and the charter company that could fly us back to the airport. It was about a 35 minute flight on a 6 seat airplane and cost not much more than the private car transportation. Our flight left at 10a so it saved us a little sleep. If I were the resort I'd certainly want people to know about this highly convenient option that also feels quite luxurious.

Incredible compound in lush forest area of Vekize. Great hiking, excursions to Mayan Ruins and gardens for fresh vegetables and horseback riding were are great bonus. Staff very professional.

This resort was BEYOND amazing! It was exactly what our family needed to reset and spend some quality time together. Every staff member was exceptional and we took advantage of all that the lodge could offer. The garden tour and dinner was phenomenal and blew our minds. I did a cooking class with Chef Minor and my kids and he was absolutely incredible. Frank was our server at almost every meal and couldn't have been more lovely! We felt like everyone was family by the end of our stay. We will absolutely come back and I've already told all my friends about this magical slice of heaven! Thank you Blancaneaux!!!!

Osmani was perfect in every way possible. He helped us and got us situated perfectly. And so was everyone else at this resort.

I cannot say enough about this beautiful boutique resort. There is wonderful attention to detail, very clean, wonderful energy and vibe and all around we had a wonderful stay. Osmani was our personal assistant ("butler") while we there and he ensured all details and planning were attended to. He was fantastic and would encourage you to request him if you stay there. Another special treat was the Mojito garden and vegetarian dinner. The food was top notch-always so fresh and the ambience of the dining room and pre-and post dinner events was very special. highly highly recommend Blancaneaux. We definitely plan to stay at another Coppola property in the future.
