Reviews for SIRO Boka Place

Great family location

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

My family and i just spent a whole week at Siro Boka Place. Here are our points: Positives - location is excellent. Whilst not inside the marina but a short walking distance of 5 minutes - incredible kindness of the staff - very nice breakfast buffet (except for the bread variety). The cheese could be better organised also. - underground parking (payable) - lovely and lively variety of restaurants around - Size of the 2 rooms duplex apartments is great Negatives - on 3 different days, leaving the apartments from morning till 18.00 only to come and find cleaner still cleaning the room. - there’s only 1 phone set in the upper bedroom. So if you are downstairs and the phone rings you have to run upstairs to catch it - there’s no washing powder, no iro, no ironing board . You have to ask for these things and they will bring you. - we had 2 door handles broken. Got stuck inside the rooms. Luckily someone else was in the flat to rescue! - for the parking, its a valet only service . so if valet is busy it might take sometime to get your car - whilst the 2 bedrooms duplex apartment is very convenient, its on the first floor with no view whatsoever which is a shame because the most beautiful thing about Montenegro is the beautiful scenery. I was very disappointed about that. As a whole experience, it was very good and I would definitely recommend it for a family.

Disappointing experience at a “beach/pool hotel” with no access to the pool

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We stayed at Siro Boka Place Montenegro for 3 days in a 2-bedroom apartment. The room itself was genuinely lovely – spacious, well-designed, and comfortable. The location is also good. Unfortunately, that’s where the five-star experience ended, because everything else about the hotel felt far below the standard you’d expect from a five star hotel. We experienced repeated problems getting access to sun loungers by the pool. While we stayed there, not a single free lounger was available doing the three days stay, it was simply impossible to find any spot at all. Traveling with three children, including a one-year the pool facilities are a must for us. The main issue was that the hotel had no reservation system, waitlist, or alternative solution for the pool. When we explained this, the manager’s response was that it was “first come, first served,” and that guests had already been putting towels down by the pool as early as 5:00 AM. We were told we could simply do the same – as if this is a reasonable expectation for a five star hotel. So if you don’t mind running up to the pool at 5:00 in the morning, grabbing chairs as if you are in Alanya on an all inclusive 3 star hotel, this is the spot! Since we insisted in complaining we got offered to go to another hotel 30-40 min away (each way) to use their pool area. But since we were traveling with a one year old who needs to nap it wasn’t really an option for us. The manager’s overall manner was completely unprofessional, and it was clear she lacked basic training in how to speak to and treat guests to solve issues. Cannot recommend this hotel to families with children looking for a relaxing beach holiday. If you’re looking for an actual five-star experience in the area, book the Regent Porto Montenegro instead!

Lovely hotel with disorganised service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Lovely hotel and really pleasant staff but breakfast is chaotic and disorganised. We stayed for a week and whilst there was some initial improvement with the manager telling us it was staff training which was lacking. There is constant confusion with staff members trying to do everything but achieving nothing, bowls and plates are constantly missing, the manager has to replace the orange juice and glasses himself as staff ignore these and just walk past. All staff are apologetic and nice but an organised improvement is needed, as waiting 30mins for an americano and a pot of hot water isn't acceptable! This is high season and the hotel needs to get on top of this, as it lets it down. However, on a positive note the food is good and the hotel is lovely and clean, please improve the service as it wouldn't take too much effort to become an excellent hotel.

Nice rooms but poor service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

I was very disappointed with the level of service I received during my stay. After a 28-hour journey in 39°C (102°F) weather, I asked if an early check-in might be possible before the standard 3:00 p.m. check-in time. I completely understood that my room might not be ready, but I was told that housekeeping was preparing rooms and that I would receive a WhatsApp message as soon as mine became available. After waiting for more than three hours, I finally approached the front desk to ask for an update. To my surprise, my room had already been ready, but no one had contacted me as promised. After such a long and exhausting trip, this lack of communication was incredibly frustrating and left me waiting unnecessarily. I expected much better attention to detail and guest service from a hotel recognized by the Michelin Guide. I was also surprised when I was told I wasn’t allowed to eat a small snack in the second-floor lobby. By the time I was approached, I had already put the snack away, yet the interaction made me feel unwelcome as a paying guest. Unfortunately, these experiences left a very poor impression, and I would not choose to stay at a SIRO hotel again. If you’re visiting Tivat, I would instead recommend the Regent, Porto Palace, or Casa Manor, where I found the hospitality to be much warmer, more attentive, and far more in line with the standards I expect from a luxury hotel.

A great hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

This hotel is in a great location between marina area and more local area giving opportunities to see all sides of life. We couldn't believe the standard as we had a two room self catering apartment which had everything you might need all carefully cleaned and ready. The roof pool was very good although a little too hot for us this time. Cleaning staff were in every day to put the rooms back in order if required and all were pleasant. The food and breakfasts where very good and plentiful and you had a varying choice of whether you self catered or not as there is a local supermarket. All the staff we came across were very pleasant and helpful. This is a place we would definately visit again although we would suggest that anyone going be prepared for one of the most awful airports for getting out of a country
