Hotel is in a great location, upscale accommodations, friendly and helpful staff. Roosevelt was so kind, professional, and personable as he contributed to our excellent stay!

We had stayed at Charleston Place a couple of days before we got married 2 years prior and it was amazing. Staff was great, room was excellent, everything was fantastic. We had recently decided to return for our 2 year anniversary. This time it was a different story.. When we were checking in the lady at the front desk did not offer any beverages until after we had already went through the process of checking in. (there were people checking in next to us that had champagne the whole time during the checking process). Since we booked with American express our room was "Upgraded".. We had been "upgraded" to the side of the hotel where construction was going on right outside the window.. With a view of a parking garage.. and the A/c was extremely loud, causing us to not be able to fall asleep or stay asleep We brought these concerns to the front desk the next morning and the gentleman at the front desk told us to "come back later and ask again there are no other rooms available" . I feel like in that situation you should be notifying me when another room is available not having me try and come back and ask again... We ended up staying in the room because we were out exploring the town and didn't want to "come back and ask again".. Maybe once they get the construction finished it will be a different experience but honestly there are a lot of other nice hotels in downtown Charleston. I would suggest picking another one.

We had terrible view outside our room's window. No pool was available due to renovations. Due to these reasons the place did not justify the high prices for us.

We had a wonderful time at the Charleston Place. Great memories. We had a wonderful Bellman Ben Edwards who was very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend coming back. We loved the Southern Charm.

What a fantastic stay! The Charleston Place is a stunning hotel in the middle of everything. The interiors are gorgeous, and the service is wonderful! We felt so cared for - Sophia at the front desk really knows what it takes to be of great service! Mr. Booth is also super knowledgeable and friendly along with the rest of the staff. Can’t wait to come back - and stay longer!

I traveled with my family (husband, and two children ages 2 and 4) on a Luxury Link auction package to Charleston Place in August. True good service is making travel effortless for the visitor, and Charleston Place delivered. There was no problem in bringing our children. We arrived about an hour before official check-in, but our room was ready and keys were given. Concierge had pre-printed directions to many of the sites. Finally, our Luxury Link credits for spa and dinner was automatically applied at check-out, so the check-out sheet that I received the morning of departure already had the correct amount that needed to be charged. Effortless! The Club floor included an expanded continental buffet breakfast, as well as drinks and finger foods throughout most of the day. This was very convenient and the breakfast and evening hors d'oeuvres were particularly extensive. What makes Charleston Place stand out from myriad other places to stay in Charleston - many more historic or quaint or intimate - is the amenities offered. The pool with surrounding deck and kiddie pool is a very pleasant spot. The spa treatments were wonderful and very professional. Dinner at Charleston Grill was our favorite meal of the trip. The flavors were complex and fresh - this is not your typical fried and heavy Southern cuisine. I can see Charleston Place appealing to business travelers, couples needing pampering, families with older children, and yes, families with young children. All in all, a service-oriented hotel in a wonderful location with superior amenities and appealing to many different types of travelers.
