The Dewberry Charleston

This hotel has service dialed in. In an time when customer service is becoming a thing of the past, this hotel has it in spades. We went for my birthday weekend and we couldn't have asked for a better location to celebrate. Everything from the room, to the room service & maids, the front desk, the concierge, the spa, the restaurant servers & food – was top notch. Highly recommend for your next trip.

Wonderful time celebrating our friend's birthday there at the citrus club and also in the living room of the hotel. Its nice to see people take pride in their service to make their guests feel welcome and to enjoy their experience.

Beautiful hotel. Staff was amazing. Got massages at the spa which is beautiful. Roof top bar is perfect. The only negative was the living room. We thought we’d grab brunch. We were the only 2 people seated. Waited for 45 minutes for a breakfast sandwich and shrimp and grits.

We had a wonderful experience at The Dewberry. From the moment we arrived, the valet team was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the staff at check-in was just as warm and helpful. It immediately set the tone for a great stay and made us feel genuinely welcomed from the start.

I was genuinely blown away by how beautiful this space is from the moment I walked in. The design throughout feels intentional and elevated without being stuffy. The rooms were a highlight for us, comfortable and well laid out, with small thoughtful details that showed real care in how everything was put together. The welcome touch of a cold towel and cold tea at the entrance was such a nice surprise, especially given how brutal the Charleston heat can be. Little details like that really set the tone for the whole stay. The Living Room bar downstairs was such a fun spot, great energy and a nice place to unwind. I had a delicious strawberry cocktail there that was one of my favorite parts of the trip. We also spent time up at The Citrus Club on the rooftop, which was a highlight of the whole stay, gorgeous views and a great vibe. It can get busy with a waitlist, but they prioritize hotel guests, which felt like a really nice perk. Housekeeping was excellent, our room was spotless every single day. Staff overall were friendly and attentive the entire stay, which added a lot to the experience. And the location cannot be beat: right in the middle of everything, so we could walk everywhere, no car needed. And if you'd rather not walk somewhere, they also offer a car service, which was a nice touch. We only stayed two nights, but it was more than enough to make the weekend feel like a real getaway rather than just a quick trip. Highly recommend if you're looking for a stay in Charleston that combines style, comfort, and convenience.
