Ashley checked us in late on a Wednesday night & gave us such a warm welcome. She gave us a referral to a wonderful bar that was selling delicious food. Ashley is one of the most personable and friendly people I’ve ever met in the hospitality industry.

My experience at the Emeline in Charleston was truly elevated thanks to Mark Favorite. From the moment we arrived, Mark went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for. His professionalism, warmth, and genuine attention to detail set a tone of true Southern hospitality. Mark anticipated our needs before we even had to ask — offering thoughtful recommendations, checking in without being intrusive, and ensuring every part of our stay ran smoothly. It’s rare to encounter someone who combines efficiency with such a personable touch, but Mark does it effortlessly. The Emeline is already a beautiful, well-appointed hotel, but Mark’s exceptional service made the experience unforgettable. He’s a standout example of what great hospitality should feel like. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Emeline — and especially Mark — to anyone visiting Charleston.

This hotel was beautiful from the moment you walk in! When we checked in, Chico and Ramona were very helpful with explaining all the amenities. We got super lucky and got upgraded to the suite and it was so spacious and clean. We definitely recommend!

We held our daughters wedding reception at the Emeline. What s fantastic experience. The staff there is top notch! From Mark handling your luggage and car to Cornelius who helped us plan the wedding! You wouldn't be disappointed!!

Fabulous stay at Emeline in Charleston! This is a very chic boutique hotel in a quiet and excellent location. Every employee was friendly, kind and polite. There is a charming courtyard garden restaurant with an outdoor fireplace on site and a wonderful coffee shop as well. Our suite was perfection with superior mattress and linens, a separate sitting area and a huge, immaculately clean bathroom. Every floor has its own coffee and filtered water station. The best compliment I can give is that this property reminds me of The Bowery Hotel in Manhattan, which is one of my all time favorites. There is a certain character and vintage charm that exists at the Emeline that is both elegant and comfortable. When and if I go to Charleston again, I will absolutely stay here.
