Market Pavilion Hotel

My fiance' booked a room in the Market Pavilion Hotel for two nights in July 2026, and it was wonderful. The hotel has a very old world, classy and elegant vibe about it. Our room was on the fourth floor overlooking the Marketplace, it was impeccably clean and very comfortable. The in room fridge was a nice touch, as was the beautiful armoire that contained personal his and hers, terry cloth robes and slippers. The bed was extremely comfortable, and I am the worlds most finicky person when it comes to comfortable beds. We had dinner in the first floor restaurant one evening, and at the suggestion of our waiter, we tried the nitro infused cocktails that they are famous for. The entire dinner was an excellent experience. We also enjoyed time at the rooftop bar and pool. This is where we will stay whenever we return to Charleston.

Market Pavillion Hotel is steps away from the City Market, the waterfront and many other hot spots. There is a great ice cream place around the corner called Wafflin, the rooftop is perfect for an afternoon cocktail, and the housekeeping service is fantastic! Towels were constantly replaced and nightly turndown came with a delicious cookie. I highly recommend!

If you are looking for a perfect in spot in Charleston, this is it!!!!!! The most welcoming staff and I SWEAR the most COMFORTABLE bed you will sleep on!!! A luxury experience I will never forget!! Coming from a local of Charkeston, SC RUN to book this place, I promise you won’t be disappointed!!!

I love this place! It is hands down my favorite place to stay. I tried staying at another popular luxury hotels downtown for the first time, and after 3 days there we changed over to The Market Pavillon. Location is perfect! Right on the corner of The Customs House and The Market. Atmosphere very charming. Rooms are great. Value ok a little pricey(expected for area). Very clean. Noise level low. Service AMAZING.... Amenities great. The only issue I have is the floor in our room had just been steam cleaned and it was damp for a few days. Valet parking is pricey as well.

There’s nothing negative I can say about this beautiful hotel. The staff is so professional and friendly and the rooms are beautifully decorated and kept very clean. My family and I spent a great deal of time on the roof patio where there was a bar and a pool with lounge chairs. A special acknowledgment has to be made to the amazing servers Noah, Scottie, and Ben who made sure our every need was met. They were always attentive and helpful. I love that complimentary coffee was served along with danish, pastry, croissants and fresh fruit every morning and throughout the day. We had dinner at the Grill 225 and it was excellent!
