The Spectator Hotel

Went on a mother/daughter trip and stayed in a double queen room. Was very comfortable and quiet and we had everything we needed. The bathroom was quite large and stocked nicely with what we would need. The local snacks and the waters were wonderful to have each day. We didn’t drink the sodas or the cold brewed coffees left for us. Every morning we had breakfast delivered and it was delicious. Our welcome drink (cocktail or mocktail) was delicious as well. The hotel is very well situated in the middle of everything yet still in a quiet location. The staff are all very welcoming, friendly and helpful. This was my second stay and I would stay again in a heartbeat!

Our stay at the Spectator was nothing short of perfect southern charm and hospitality, combined with lovely amenities around every corner! The rooms are beautifully appointed. The location is ideal! Highly recommend The Spectator!

First, I'd like to thank everyone at The Spectator for celebrating our 50th Wedding Anniversary with Celeste and me this past weekend. Everything was absolutely perfect...no, it was beyond perfect. The little things you did for us...the champagne, the letters and the book on 1975 (the year we were married), the liquor shots before bedtime, the tray with the celebratory decorations, the chocolates at departure, everything was beyond our expectations. But I can add that with The Spectator, beyond perfect seems to be routine. Chuck our butler was so personable and helpful and always gave us great information and was always happy. Everyone at The Spectator was there for us when needed. This was our third time staying at The Spectator and we'll be back in the near future. For those reading this and if you want to stay somewhere where you feel special and want to be immersed in quality and top notch service, The Spectator is the place to stay in Charleston.

The location of the hotel is perfect, Walkable to everything - tours, restaurants, shopping and bakeries! The staff is beyond welcoming, and I truly believe, your any wish would be their command. The breakfast - delivered to your room, was very good, making up for the lack of restaurant on the property. Although I did not partake at the bar, it was a nice place to rest and unwind after a long day of sightseeing.

I can’t wait to go back to this hotel!! I travel all over the world and this is one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. My butler Will was fantastic as was all the staff I encountered. The rooms was clean and so well appointed. I love supporting a veteran owned business and hope to be there again soon!
