The Spectator Hotel

Spent some wonderful times at the Spectator Bar (we stayed at the French Quarter Inn). Outstanding service, drinks and small plates. Special shout outs to Chef Karen Sayward - incredible food! And to bartender Rose and server Temier. Super friendly and accommodating folks. Loved every minute there .

The Spectator is a great property right in the heart of downtown Charleston. We’ve stayed at many hotels in Charleston and this is one of the best for sure. The hotel offers butler service which is not offered anywhere else that I’m aware of in Charleston. All of the staff members were attentive and eager to help and not just because it’s their job but because they actually care about you and your experience. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants an elevated hotel experience. The rooms are in good condition and the property is well maintained and clean. The amenities such as breakfast in the room, snacks and beverages in the fridge, turndown service, and a welcome drink are unrivaled. The Spectator goes above and beyond and is well worth the stay.

This was such an incredible experience, I can’t rate it high enough. Hotel is beautiful but the service is really what elevated this hotel above the rest. Every detail is tended to, the butlers are so friendly, warm, and knowledgeable. Truly our needs were anticipated and no ask was too big. On top of all of that, the welcome cocktails, evening cordials, and beautiful in-room breakfast were just icing on the cake.

Just top notch in every capacity! My wife and I stayed here for almost a full week and just absolutely loved it. The experience here flowed into the most relaxing vacation we have had in 20 years. The location, cleanliness, staff, drinks and more were just beyond expectation and seeing the smile on my wife's face the whole week was truly a gift. Thank you for providing that Spectator!
