The Spectator Hotel

Fantastic stay from Sept 14-18, 2026. Butlers Darryl & David were the best. Front desk was awesome. Housekeeping was 1st class. Bar was amazing. Bartenders were great and Emily was so pleasant. Location was perfect. Atmosphere was the best. Rooms were really neat. We would certainly stay here again in the future!

Excellent boutique hotel! They go out of their way to make your encounter special. From your personal butler to replenishing the free dry goodies and drinks in the fridge daily… plus turndown every night with a treat. The room was super clean and made new every day. This is the place for a quiet and relaxing getaway! No hassles… no crowds… no noise!

After 50 years of marriage, not much remains that is unexpected or unexperienced. Although our ‘big celebration’ will be in Europe for the Christmas marketplaces, we decided that on our special day, we would make a celebratory trip to Charleston. Consulting ChatGPT, I selected The Spectator, based on their promises, expecting a nice high-end hotel. What I did NOT expect was personal butler service (David), who answered every question we had, delivered treats to our room and even brought breakfast in bed the next morning. Everyone from the valet to the front desk to David himself were over the top in exceeding our expectations. We would highly recommend The Spectator for those moments that you truly need to create an outstanding memory.
