Great romantic hotel. Butler service is a nice touch and the bar has a good vibe with excellent crafted cocktails. Our butler was David. True professional.

A Must-Stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We had the best time at the Spectator. The amenities and butler service were better than we anticipated. The whole facility was beautiful and looked brand new. We greatly enjoyed the daily breakfast and the bar! We celebrated our anniversary during our stay and the whole staff was so kind and accommodating all week. The location was also incredible. We will definitely be back!

Perfect hotel I Charleston - The Spectator

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

From the moment my husband and I arrived at the hotel we we treated so very special !!!! A welcome drink, a “butler” who was so kind and informative and a staff like no other - we were celebrating our 53rd anniversary and the beautiful note champagne and chic covered strawberries were such a beautiful surprise -the breakfast was a feast for two and was sooo delicious every morning!! We had a small issue with something in the room - which was lovely but the way - the staff went above and beyond to correct it - they truly care and we already made reservations to go back in December - the location was perfect - walked to everything - we have traveled all over the USA and Europe and this was one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at.

A Special Hotel Experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

This was our second stay at The Spectator, and I can’t imagine staying any where else when we return to Charleston. Everything was just perfect. This is a lovely boutique hotel that stands out for its friendly, accommodating staff. Everyone we dealt with from check in to check out was an absolute pleasure. Our butler, Daryl, was amazing! His joyful, positive energy made for a happy start to each day in the beautiful city of Charleston.

A perfect Charleston getaway

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

My wife and I spent four days in Charleston, and after plenty of research, we chose to stay at The Spectator Hotel—safe to say, we found a winner. It strikes a perfect balance between modern style and classic Southern charm. Beyond that, the location is excellent, the room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the staff offered great local insights. To top it off, the bar is a perfect spot to unwind after a long day of exploring Charleston’s alleyways and incredible restaurants. So do yourself a favor if you’re headed to Charleston: take advantage of The Spectator Hotel.
