Reviews for The Spectator Hotel

They will spoil you!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

Spent Christmas at this hotel, and I can share I have never been so spoiled! The entire team went above and beyond to ensure my stay was incredible. Michelle, from the butler service team exceeded any expectations. She ensured that my clothes were ready for a nice night out, my favorite rose was on ice on Christmas afternoon, and arranged a massage for me within minutes. She was MAGIC. The front desk crew, especially Wade, made all logistics easy. He booked boat tours, pedicabs, and restaurant adventures. The facility is beautiful, and located in the middle of everything. The bar and it's staff can mix up the best cocktails! All in all, this is the place to stay when in town. Incredible hotel, and even better staff.

Amazing stay

Our stay was absolutely outstanding, and the staff truly made it unforgettable. The butlers, David and Will, went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect—professional, attentive, and genuinely kind. They anticipated our needs before we even had to ask and made us feel completely taken care of. At the front desk, Wade was welcoming, efficient, and incredibly helpful, making both check-in and any questions throughout our stay seamless and stress-free. The experience wouldn’t have been complete without the amazing bartenders, Allen and Rose. Their cocktails were expertly crafted, and their friendly personalities made every visit to the bar a highlight of our evenings. This hotel excels not only in comfort and amenities but in exceptional service. The team truly cares about creating a memorable experience, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommended!

Great time, great little pleasures in the room, very much wanting you to enjoy a relaxing trip and the help with this. Very much in the middle of all things walking

10/10 No Notes

Beautiful hotel in a great location. Staff is over the top friendly, especially in the bar, which is worth a trip for non-hotel guests. Complimentary snacks in the room and breakfast! Can't complain about that! Rooms are average size but the overall experience was top notch. Charleston is a beauty.

Lots of Value and Hospitality

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

This gilded age boutique hotel is a great place to stay in Charleston. Clise to all the downtown restaurants and walkable to most areas of interest. In arrival, our room was not yet available so the concierge Wade (love that guy!) suggested we grab the Turkey Asiago sandwich at Carmella's Cafe just a few blocks away. It was a fantastic recommendation and he us a genuinely awesome human being. Loved the nightly turndown which includes a tiny nigtcap in a chocolate cup. Non alcoholic options are available yoon request as well. One thing that you're going to find is that there is no shortage of food in this tien so be sure to take advantage of the little gym in the sister hotel French Quarter Inn around the back of the block. The amenities in the hotel are very nice, from the welcome drink to the toiletries to the free mini-bar snacks and drinks to the towel warmer and breakfast delivery daily, you will feel spoiled and not want to leave!
