This was our first time in a luxury hotel like this. Arrival and check in was smooth with no issues. We were offered a welcome cocktail which was a nice touch after traveling on the highway all day in the heat of summer. We were assigned a butler. David was actually the main one to serve us for most of our stay. Helped get us and our luggage to our room. Explained how everything is at the hotel. He even gave us a good dinner suggestion on our first night in town. They offer free bicycle rentals, umbrellas to borrow if needed, complimentary in room beverages and snacks restocked as needed. Turn down service was nice with a sweet cordial. Gourmet Continental breakfast that you get to choose each day brought right to your room. The portions were exceptional. We also had the pleasure of having Michelle serve us a few times and one day she packed us extra snacks to take on our outing. We really enjoyed the speakeasy style bar and lounge in the hotel. The bar tender Alan makes some great cocktails and bar bites. The hospitality of all staff members was above and beyond. The cleanliness of our room was superb. Everything was so amazing that it was like the comfort of being in my own home. Made for a very romantic week for my husband and I. Highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely consider it again when we visit Charleston in the future.

My daughter and I stayed here for our first visit to Charleston. I used ChatGBT to get suggestions on taking my 26 year old daughter on a girls trip to Charleston. The Spectator Hotel was a top suggestion, so I booked it for a 5 night stay. The hotel is in the perfect location for exploring Charleston. Just two blocks from luxury shopping and a block from the Charleston City Market. Each guest is provided with Butler service which was fantastic. David our Butler took such care in making sure our stay was comfortable. He steamed all our clothes, provided much needed directions and a map of the city, and even backed a beach bag with towels and sun screen for me and my daughter to explore the Isle of Palm Beaches. They restock your mini fridge every night with cold water, soft drinks, and iced coffee. The contents which come at no additional charge. The Spectator Hotel also offers complementary breakfast delivered to your room each morning with several options to choose from, including Gluten free. Each night you receive turn down service, and a special nightcap. We loved our stay here, and we will definitely return.

I've stayed in a lot of hotels over the years, and every once in a while you find one that makes you slow down and really enjoy being there. The Spectator Hotel was one of those places. The biggest standout was the butler service. It sounds like something that could feel over the top, but it honestly just made everything so easy. Whether it was recommendations, little requests, or making sure we had everything we needed, the team went above and beyond in a way that felt thoughtful, not forced. We happened to be there for jazz night on Wednesday, and it completely changed the atmosphere. Sitting with a cocktail while listening to live jazz was such a fun way to spend the evening and made the hotel feel even more special. We also loved borrowing the complimentary bikes to ride around Charleston. It was one of my favorite ways to explore the city. Coming back to snacks waiting for us and ending the night at the speakeasy-style bar was the perfect way to unwind. The cocktails were incredible, and it quickly became one of our favorite spots during the stay. The best way to end it all was breakfast in bed. It was one of those little luxuries that made us want to stay in our robes a little longer and enjoy every last minute before checking out. What I loved most about The Spectator is that it feels personal. It's beautiful, the location is hard to beat, and every detail feels intentional. It's right in the middle of everything downtown, but more than anything, the people are what make it memorable. We had such a great time, and it's one of those hotels I'd recommend to anyone visiting Charleston without thinking twice!!

This was my first time staying at The Spectator Hotel, and if I return to Charleston, it will not be my last! From the moment of arrival until checkout, the service and amenities were top notch! Our first Butler, Chuck, did an amazing job of escorting us to our room and explaining all the details of the hotel and room setup. The room was wonderful, very comfortable bedding, great bathroom and lighting and very clean. It was very hot during our stay, and I can honestly say this was the best air conditioning I have ever had in any hotel I have stayed, US or otherwise. The entire staff did an excellent job and there is nothing I can say except a stay at The Spectator is a must if you are looking for amazing staff and accommodations!

We spent four days at The Spectator Hotel and it is now one of our favorite hotels. We have stayed at several hotels in Charleston, and this is by far the best fit for us. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The butler service is wonderful and the breakfast, included in the daily room rate, delivered to your room or to the lounge was perfect. For breakfast, there were multiple options to fit a variety of tastes - from continental to a full meal. The rooms were nicely sized, and the bathrooms were very spacious, and included double sinks. The hotel was quiet when we visited, the beds were comfortable and the valet service was fast, though we were able to walk to most of the spots we visited.
