We had a wonderful stay at The Spectator. We were greeted with a cocktail of the day and then shown to our room by our butler, Will. He was very informative about restaurants and things to do in Charleston. Our complimentary breakfast was brought to our room by the very pleasant and smiling Michelle. Our room was cleaned every day by Renee who did an excellent job. Every evening we were treated with a little chocolate cup filled with a different sweet liquor drink. It was fun to taste what new drink the bartender made for that evening. I remember oatmeal cookie as a tasty treat. It was much better than a chocolate on our pillow. Also during our stay we met Jim who helped us with some suggestions of places to go. We took his suggestion and had a wonderful day at McLeod Plantation. I would definitely recommend this hotel when staying Charleston. It is a great location, within walking distance of quite a few attractions and the charm that is Charleston.

This wonderful hotel is in the heart of Charleston, SC. The personalized attention that the staff provided made our visit special. The room was clean, fully stocked with goodies, and provided comfortable sleeping arrangements. We especially enjoyed having breakfast delivered at our specified time(s) and also enjoyed having fresh coffee available from an early morning hour. I believe that The Spectator Hotel captures the beauty that the town of Charleston offers. We look forward to our next visit.

We truly enjoyed our stay while in Charleston, the hotel is located close to all the main attractions and very walkable to everything. The staff was very friendly and helpful in providing some suggestions. The breakfast was great, served right to the room during your time you requested. The bar inside the hotel is fantastic and another great place to hangout and also has small snacks to order. Our friends recommended this hotel to us and we will definitely recommend this place to anyone who enjoys some luxury and close to everything while in Charleston.

Had 3 hotels and I couldn’t decide which one. The wife made this choice and I am so glad she did. From checking in to checking out- a great experience. A great location, loved our room, amenities and the awesome staff. We will be going back.

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at the Spectator Hotel and cannot recommend it highly enough. This was our first trip to Charleston - the location in the French Quarter is perfect and everything is within walking distance. The Butler staff was amazing. Michelle, Jim and David welcomed us to Charleston, rescued my wife with an emergency advil, and suggested a full day of activities. We'd start each day with them delivering a delicious breakfast to our room - our favorite part was the brûléed grapefruit. In the bar, Allen and Evelyn worked wonders behind the bar - they are highlighting 10 years of their most popular cocktails right now. Highly highly recommend. My favorites are Trouble in the Henhouse and Grandpa's Rocking Chair. We'll definitely be staying at the Spectator next time we visit Charleston.
