Whether traveling on business or for pure indulgent R&R, Zero George delivers Charleston’s premier boutique hotel experience. Named after our actual street address, Zero George is comprised of sixteen lush guest rooms and studios in three painstakingly restored historic residences and two brick carriage houses that surround our private garden courtyard. We’ve infused it all with a sense of intimacy and warm personality, honoring the buildings’ solid 1804 bones and graceful architecture with measured, timeless design.

Zero George is a historic property that is beautifully maintained and in proximity to downtown Charleston. There is charming seating throughout the property, and the hospitality cannot be beat. Our room was ready when we arrived, and a special welcoming note was left for us. Breakfast was great and prepared us for the day ahead. Will definitely return - no hesitation.

Second time staying at the Zero George. We really enjoyed our stay with them - everything is convenient from accessing historic downtown, nice restaurants, the beaches, and parking. Rooms are clean and neat with a lot of Charleston charm, and are stocked with everything we needed.

This was my second time staying at Zero George and will not be my last! It is hands down one of my favorite places to stay. From the tranquil, beautiful setting to the friendly, top notch staff & service, this hotel is truly heavenly. The food is excellent and every detail of our stay was perfection. Highly recommend the Zero George!

This hotel is a beautifully restored building from the 1800s and if we were still in the 1800s you could define this room as luxury. The walls are paper thin and every door closing, footstep up the stairs and turn of the lock reverberates through the whole entire building. The toilet flushes but only every other time. The shower, the bed, and the TV are all nice and the room stayed a comfortable temp from the mini split. But basically there is no sleeping at this hotel. If your fellow guests are awake. YOU ARE AWAKE. I know the hotel is aware of this issue, because the have white noise machines in the room. But the white noise can’t drown out the shaking of the walls. Our room was King Veranda Zero building room 1. People kept walking into our building thinking it was reception. Also we heard the zero George restaurant kitchen door and the cleaning staff door were on each side of our room. So if the staff are working, you are not resting. On a positive note, The Zero George restaurant had one of the best tasting menus we have ever had and the caviar bar was an amazing experience. The staff are super nice and very accommodating, but unfortunately the bones of this hotel are very old. It makes it look absolutely beautiful, but the functionality of it and calling this a luxury hotel is a stretch. We considered asking to change rooms but other reviewers said that the other rooms hear non stop car traffic from the busy street which also creates a noisy experience. Final recommendation would be to eat at Zero George Restaurant and Caviar Bar, but stay elsewhere.
