Great hotel to stay in with kids. Our kids loved the playground, outdoor pool and a place to play soccer. They made friends everyday. The onsite restaurant was pretty good, room service was very prompt. Lots of restaurants near by. We really liked North Italia. Housekeeping did a great job cleaning the room everyday. There’s robes with slippers in the room. Molton Brown bath products that we like. They don’t have coffee machines in the room, but they serve coffee in the lobby from 6-11am which we didn’t mind. The indoor pool and gym were nice and clean. The reason for 4 stars is because the outdoor pool ends food service at 3pm and bar service at 6. Wish they had service for as long as the pool is open.

10/10 experience! Evan was an amazing person, he check us in and out and his customer handling was extraordinary!! The Gallery Restaurant server were super nice and friendly too. They went above and beyond to fit our dietary restriction!! Beautiful hotel rooms. Area is surrounded by restaurants. Only comment is to add some vegan foods on the menu.

The Hotel is beautiful, impeccably clean, and full of warm southern charm. The on-site restaurant was excellent and made the experience even more enjoyable. The valet service was prompt, professional, and efficient. Jeffrey was especially outstanding—courteous, attentive, and a true asset to The Ballantyne!

As a former Titanium Elite member and current Platinum Elite, I’ve stayed at countless hotels across the country, and I’ve never felt the need to write a review like this—until now. I was highly disappointed with my stay and truly expected more from a property under this brand. I booked this trip as a breather for my birthday, hoping to find some peace after recently losing a loved one. Instead, I was met with an experience that added to my grief. From the moment I arrived, I felt racially profiled—not just by the hotel staff but also in the restaurant. I was treated as if I didn’t belong or couldn’t afford to be there, solely based on the color of my skin. It was not only offensive but deeply hurtful. To make matters worse, the room wasn’t properly cleaned, and the bed was far from comfortable. For a hotel of this caliber, this was an insult to injury. To my fellow African American travelers: please be mindful when choosing to stay here. No one should ever be made to feel less than, especially during what should be a time of rest and healing.

I stayed here for a solo staycation and it was amazing! If you are looking for a relaxing weekend, you will love it here. The onsite restaurant is really good and there is also a full spa onsite with both an indoor and outdoor pool. It was raining while I was at the resort, so it was nice to still be able to enjoy the amenities even though the weather wasn’t the best. If you want a bit more variety in your food choices, there are quite a few restaurants within walking distance too. The only issue I had was with the shower in my room. The shower head is non-detachable and unadjustable. And since the standalone shower is so small, there is no possible way to wash your body without being in the direct flow of water the entire time. I’ve seen similar shower heads at budget resorts, so this is the only thing I’d change to make this a 100% luxury experience. You can find a better visual representation of my experience on my Instagram page @fortravelfanaticsonly.
