Allergy request not fulfilled

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

We have stayed here 4 times- in 2023 on May 5th and 13th and just recently May 4th and May 11th as our half way point on the way to and back from Disney. We called before each trip to request a featherless room due to allergies to feathers. I explained all 4 times that our son is allergic to them and causes him to wheeze and cough. All 4 times when we got to the room there were feather pillows. They did get the comforter correct but never the pillows. We were even told the room would be walked by management to make sure and yet again there were still feather pillows. One time when we got there they made us wait an hour for our room after driving 8 hours since the request we made prior to the trip was not complete. Then on this last trip (11th) there was some concert outside at a new amphitheater that went until midnight and we couldn’t sleep. That should be listed on your website as it was really loud. We will never stay here again as our halfway point, for how much we spent to stay we expected more. Pictures below showing feather pillows.

Please make sure you consider the things in my review

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Rooms not as advertised. Make sure you check if they have an event at the weekend. There are significant differences between the bathrooms shown in the website and what you actually get. I have been staying in hotels for 40 years and this is the first time I ever had a room with two connecting doors. The sound proofing is very bad. Make sure you demand a room without a connecting door. Be aware they they hold noisy weekend events. The “park” side of the hotel is extremely noisy. I would avoid at all costs. The balcony option is really terrible.

Quality & comfort

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

The staff here is top notch, they really go out of their way to make sure you're taken care of. If you can swing it, use an Amex Platinum card. The benefits for booking with them are wonderful (4pm check out, $100 bar or spa credit). I've stayed at this location more than 15 times and it's always impeccably clean.

Good hotel, but expect issues

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

The good: the doorman, the check in process, the room comfort and general cleanliness The not so good: 1) the elevator: only one elevator works. The issue happened last year. On a busy weekend you can expect to wait a long time to use the elevator. 2) breakfast: our package included complimentary breakfast. The restaurant prioritizes outside reservations and you may have to wait over an hour for a table. The staff at the restaurant are polite but it’s crazy to have to wait that long. One morning, we put our name on the list at 830am and got seating at 1015. 3) while it was nice to receive a copy of the bill a head of time, you have to review it. We had some credits that they let us know about at check in. However they weren’t applied at check out until we let them know. Summary: this is most comfortable hotel in the area. However the same issues occur each time I visit.
