I wondered if the price was too good to be true for such a highly rated hotel and it definitely was, as this property is no higher than a 3 star. The staff were certainly gracious and helpful, but the hotel has seen better days. Our room was dreary and in shabby condition. Not sure what the actual vintage of the furniture is, but it looked like it came from a used furniture store. There was a large dresser which also housed the tv that was about 5 feet high. The center portion of the top was dusted, but not the sides at the back, even though it was easy enough to reach. The paint was peeling all down the wall next to one of the windows and we had to kill a bee when we opened a window and didn’t initially see that the screen was improperly installed. Perhaps the worse was the bathroom. A good size but awful. Despite ample wall space, just one towel rack on the bathroom door and no hooks for robes or a place for hand towels. The only shelf for vanity cases was the toilet tank. The shower was under a gabled roof which slanted down right in front of the of the shower head. My husband and I are tall and both of us hit our heads on the sharp edge of the indented ceiling which came down in front of the shower head. Also, there was not a separate switch for the very loud fan which came on if you turned on the bathroom light, regardless if it was needed. If we hadn’t already lugged our suitcases up 1 1/2 flight of stairs and hadn’t been in a rush to get ready for an evening reservation we would have asked for another room. I will say that the bed was comfortable and my husband was happy with the desk, but the lighting was poor. Breakfast was adequate.

We had an amazing 4 night stay in the Harris House. The central heating was great as was the designated parking spot. The staff from morning until, night couldn't be more helpful. We would definitely return !

It’s a beautiful old building very well maintained. Exceptional sizes and cleanliness to the rooms and the whole building . It is a very central location, easy walking distance to great restaurants and shopping. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The parking lot is a bit in the small side so we parked on the street the first night. It’s a very quiet hotel and I would recommend it to anyone

We loved the location and unique atmosphere. The happy hour was a nice highlight and their continental breakfast was next level.

It’s a very well maintained and well run property. The rooms and common areas are extremely clean and well appointed. Breakfast was great. The staff were very accommodating at check in and checkout. Overall highly recommended,
