The Great George

My wife and I stayed at The Great George Hotel to celebrate our anniversary, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The hotel is full of historic charm, beautifully maintained, and perfectly located for exploring Charlottetown. A special thank you to Sam at the front desk, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. From the moment we checked in, Sam went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcomed and well taken care of. He not only offered us great dining recommendations and helped us plan a few local outings. He also surprised us with a thoughtful gesture in our room to mark our anniversary. It’s that kind of personal touch that turns a great stay into an unforgettable one. Our room was cozy, elegant, and spotless—everything we could have hoped for. We can’t wait to return. Highly recommend for a romantic getaway!

We had an absolutely wonderful experience, our new home away from home. The employees are joy to be around and always there for anything you may need. I’ve rarely felt so comfortable being away from home. This will certainly be our place of choice the next time we are on the island to see our horses.

The Great George is the perfect winter escape. Attention to detail by exceptional staff, beautifully appointed and super comfortable rooms, and a lobby sitting area that wraps around you in elegance and comfort! Always a treat … and the cookies don’t hurt!

Customer service was exceptional. Amenities were perfect. The atmosphere & location are second to none. It’s our favourite place for a getaway in December (escape the hustle & bustle) & summer. We love the jacuzzi suites, hanging in the beautiful lobby & exploring the neighbourhood.

The staff provided excellent service! Super friendly, knowledgeable, attentive to detail and accommodating. Cassie McPhee and her team went above and beyond to provide us an outstanding experience. Our accommodations were beautiful, spacious, and immaculate. The food was delicious. Definitely the highlight of our trip!
