I need to tell you how amazing this hotel is. The ambience is absolutely amazing. The hotel itself and the grounds with the old train memories, for a history fan, beautiful. The most amazing part of this hotel is the staff. I don’t remember everyone’s name and I apologize for that, the ones I remember is Maddie, responding to my emails and getting some flowers ordered and a bottle of Chardonnay placed in the room. Mia, sorry if I spelled that incorrectly, set it up in the room and my wife absolutely loved it. She loved the colors, the arrangement and the chilled wine. Diane called me after we got checked in to make sure everything was good with us. I am just amazed at all the people telling us happy anniversary and making sure we had everything we need. If anyone comes to Chattanooga, if they stayed anywhere, shame on them. I am not surprised you all have not been rated Michelin 20 years in a row. Thank you for making this visit so memorable!!!!!!!! Novelty does not outweigh Service

Was excited for this. Upon arrival in out train car room, the carpet was wet. There was a fan on in the room so assumed they cleaned the carpet but it was still very wet! There was no place to put luggage but the floor! Inserts of placing useless metal chair and tiny table perhaps a bench or even two luggage racks would be preferred. Bed was very uncomfortable-it sunk in the middle. The bathroom had no place to hang towels or put essentials. There was no phone to call for a refill of the empty bottle of shower wash upon arrival so had to get redressed to go to front desk. Overall, the novelty is not worth it and I would not recommend a train car. The best part of the car was the heated bathroom floor. Sorry....

Great unique hotel with amazing history Had an excellent weekend stay at The Hotel Chalet. The rooms are clean and modern, but the historic venue steals the show. Having drinks under the massive domed ceiling was an incredible experience. Special thanks to the guest concierge, Dian Buckley, for the outstanding service and hospitality. Great location, helpful staff, and fantastic ambiance. Perfect spot for a couples' getaway.
