The Ritz-Carlton, Chengdu

I had heard good things about the Ritz Carlton in Chengdu, which is why I decided to book a stay there for the last couple of days in Chengdu. Needless to say, the Ritz-Carlton Chengdu exceeds all expectations. From arrival to departure, the service felt incredibly personalized. The guest managers—especially Luca and Bruce—took amazing care of me, offering fantastic insights into the city and making sure I was perfectly comfortable. Kitchen staff handled my dietary needs (I'm vegetarian) perfectly well. Lobby and other staff were always kind and professional, and the quality of the service was always high. A special shoutout to Mr. Luca Spatafora, whose professional, proactive, and caring approach deserves highest praise. The room was stellar, any minor requests were handled with immediate class and professionalism, and the Club Lounge was the perfect sanctuary to unwind between activities. I wish Luca and the hotel much success, and I highly recommend staying here!

A real 5 stars hotel with excellent amenities and beautiful rooms. Only the room access (needing two separate lifts) is inconvenient. Beautiful breakfast. Good location. Very reasonable pricing. Recommended.

Our 2nd stay after 2 years. Overall the hotel concierge service at the club level has deteriorated to some extent. We needed some assistance with our domestic flights reservations (seat assignment) and they had to call to the ground floor staff for assistance. During our first stay in 2024, the club lounge staff were more ‘hands on’ and had better customer interaction and service. The food serve at the club lounge was still as good if not one of the best we had in all our China travels. Overall highly recommended stay for the food and drinks offered at the club lounge. That was the man reason for choosing to come back to the Ritz. The hotel room corridor and lift areas was a bit dim. The deco of the room was dated. If you looking for a modern design room layout, consider somewhere else.
