Hyatt Regency Chennai

Badly designed hotel. Very confusing lift system. There was a big fire incident during my stay due to short circuit and the hotel was evacuated .They offered no compensation for the night we spent outside the building and charged the full rate. Food is tasteless. The hotel needs serious overhaul.

Best staff, lovely ambiance and fantastic room I would give 10 on 10 too this hotel. I guarantee you won't get single change to complaint about them and happily you would be reviewing for them like I'm doing right now.

As a solo woman traveler, I can't emphasise the importance of saftey at hotels when you travel. I find Hyatt safe, and have experienced a pleasant stay always. Very recently, I had a horrible saftey experience in one of the hotels at Chennai, i have still not gotten out of the shock. I then chose to stay at The Hyatt. During my stay I felt very safe ( given the recent experience), the staff was very empathetic , professional and took utmost care right fron the reception. Pratiksha & Animaka thank you so much for ensuring safe and pleasant stay and Anamika, thats for checking on my constantly if I was fine and needed anything. Daniel was very courteous dropping my baggage in my room. The breakfast staff , made every effort to make it a pleasant, memorable experience. Their thoughtful gesture is very heart warming. Jalaluddin, from the parking was very courteous and helpful. Overall great hospitality, empathetic , professional and caring staff and a safe place to stay when travelling, specially for solo woman traveller's.
