A nice historic hotel
Great stay at the Drake. Room 843 8th floor view of Lake Michigan was so beautiful. Staff helpful and friendly. Bellhop Angel was so helpful. Room was cleaned to perfection each day. The hotel is older but is in nice condition. One issue with an older hotel is lack of outlets in the room but otherwise loved the historic vibe of the hotel. We had breakfast three of our four days at the coffee shop downstairs. Service was fast and food was good. No need to seek other options for a quick morning meal. We had one dinner at the very busy hotel bar/restaurant. Salmon and crab cakes were good. Service was great considering the crowd. Hotel location was good with nearby shopping. I walked to the Bloomingdales and other high end stores. We would stay again.

Great bar
We visited the Drake for its bar. We were staying at a soulless place across the street. It is a fabulous hotel, lots of public rooms, staircases going all over the place. We had to ask, eventually, where the bar was. Turns out it wasn't hidden! Great bar, great staff. Two TV screens on but no volume so that was OK. Barman produces a great Rusty nail so he was my buddy for the next three nights. We also had a great cheesecake

Amazing stay at this hotel. Everything was so beautiful and love the historical look of the hotel! Also, experience that we had meeting with Jeff P with HGV was phenomenal. He was very polite, professional and helped us to book our new destination! Thank you Jeff P!

Chicago is the best
Jeff P from HGV was wonderful. Very knowledgeable, helpful, and honest about the process. Great personality and caring nature certainly helped seal the deal. The Drake hotel is amazing. Amazing location and definitely an honor to stay at such historical and iconic place.
