Iconic location. Easy walk to everything. Rooms large and accommodating. Very clean. Elevator access needs room key for safety. Palm Court has amazing high tea.

Let me preface that I am not one to complain. We have been loyal Drake people for 20 years. I even stayed at the Drake Suite for the Cubs World Series in 2016. Last year there was a brown liquid oozing from the bathroom above ours. We changed rooms. Strike 1 This year I prepaid $2800 for a 7-night stay. We were given room 472—no lake view, and the bathroom was as big as my closet. We requested a bigger bathroom with a lake view. And we were told that room would be available on Sunday. Room 929 Sunday came along, and that room had a technical issue, so we were not given that one. We were given room 354. Strike 2 That night the AC unit was so loud we could not sleep, and the bed so lumpy (see attached) It was our 35th wedding anniversary and extremely disappointing! The manager, Keisha, even said she could swap out the mattress, but that never happened. Strike 3. Bye-bye, Drake. Hilton needs to invest in maintenance and upkeep.

Historic building. The common areas were well maintained. However, our room had issues and we missed some sightseeing opportunities as we were waiting for maintenance. The room was clean but no frig, the safe and the tv didn’t work. Liked the property but they need to maintain the guest rooms better for the prices charged.

We had the pleasure of hosting our large Indian wedding at The Drake. What an iconic venue and treat for our guests! Everyone was mesmerized by the regal hotel, its rich history, and breathtaking water views. Rose Stewart, the senior catering manager, was such a pleasure to work with. She maintained such grace and patience through the many months we worked together. Our wedding planner, Shaun Rajah, is in a category of his own! From the moment I met Shaun, I instantly felt like I was in great hands. He has such creativity, unique ideas and spark! Shaun is very familiar with the multiple grand rooms The Drake has to offer. His familiarity with the logistics of the hotel made our wedding planning process easier. His rapport with the team at The Drake also put us at ease. I will truly miss this group of fabulous vendors. I am already dreaming of my next weekend staycation at The Drake!

Our entire experience staying at the Drake was wonderful and memorable. From the friendly check-in crew, shout out to Tate, a lovely young man who recommended a wonderful Italian restaurant within walking distance when we came in rather late, to our beautiful room, the fantastic coffee shop on the ground floor, a lovely tea at the Palm Court, everything was beyond our expectations. Perfect location, super comfortable beds, friendly staff, we could not have asked for a better stay.
