Fairmont Chicago’s new design catapulted it to the top of hotel options in The Loop, Chicago’s business and theater district that’s home to many of the city’s cultural attractions. Past an opulent gold-hued lobby awaits a collection of guest rooms dressed in a natural color palette of cream, chocolate and mossy green highlighted by a bold floral print from Warwick Orme. Marble baths come with a separate rainfall shower and soaking tub, and for further relaxation, the spa offers couples’ soaks in a sumptuous suite.

Had a fantastic stay at this wonderful hotel. The staff were amazing and friendly with a special mention to Benjamin on the front door who was always smiling and full of energy! Also to Maya on the front desk who helped us with an issue of lost sunglasses. We slept very well in the room that despite the heat outside (30 degrees +) was always at the right temperature. The restaurant served a great breakfast too. The location was perfect and the CVS across the road was great for the odd convenience like cheap water. Would highly recommended this great hotel.

I booked this hotel using the HERA rate which happened to have a promotion of 3rd night free, making Fairmont fantastic value for the money compared to hotels of a similar level nearby. To make even better, Accor recently extended Gold Lounge access at Fairmont hotels for Diamond guests. I found the newly renovated lounge to be quite pleasant and service from staff there was excellent. As Accor Diamond we were also upgraded to a suite which was very appreciated since we have a young baby. Breakfast is included in the HERA rate and we found the a la carte menu to be quite interesting with delicious dishes with good portions. Overall it's hard to find a weak point of this hotel. If I was nit-picking I would say the welcome drinks vouchers could be extended to any cocktails from the bar menu especially for Diamond guests, rather than limited to (mostly) beer and house wine. Some hotels have a more generous list of eligible drinks for Diamonds versus lesser tiers, but this property does not. Nonetheless I would return without hesitation to this hotel and I can highly recommend it.

Impeccable service and well maintained understated elegance. Good food. Responsive staff. Valets went above and beyond. Location was convenient for us as well. We definitely look forward to coming back. Corner suite was cozy but comfortable.

This was in a wonderful location for my son (7) and I! We stayed here for two nights and it was perfect walking distance to Maggie Daley Park. My son enjoyed playing in the different areas in the park, renting a scooter and playing mini golf. We were visiting my husband who had a work obligation on Northerly Island and that was a quick 10 minute Uber ride. We booked with Amex Platinum and received $100 food & beverage credit that we used for breakfast in the lobby & room service, both were great! Only complaint would be the $15 fee per day for internet, but that was an oversight on my part. Overall, we would stay here again.

This was our first visit to Chicago and our first ever stay at a Fairmont. It exceeded our expectations in every way. My husband and I traveled with our 3 kids (17, 14, 10). We had two King rooms and there was no issue getting a rollaway for each room to accommodate us all. We hesitantly upgraded to Fairmont Gold because of the price, but thought it would be worth it because it provides a buffet breakfast, which is important to us. Gold was well worth the extra $$. There is a full gourmet breakfast with gourmet self-serve coffee/espresso machine and other juices, smoothie, and beverages. The petite little pastries every day were amazing, authentic and tasted like they were from scratch (perhaps delivered by a French bakery every day?) Hot items different every day, including eggs, meat, also olives, cheeses, fruits, oatmeal, anything you could want. All of this started our day off in the most pleasant way, not having to go out and find a restaurant and being fueled up for sightseeing until we were ready to have lunch. All of the servers were attentive and very kind, especially the lovely woman whose name starts with an M was wonderful. The evening canapes from 5-7 served as our dinner one night when our schedule didn't permit trying to get a reservation and a taxi to a restaurant. It was every bit as impressive as the breakfast buffet. Two rotating hot items different every day, along with many other gourmet charcuterie options. More than enough for a filling dinner, especially when we had had a large restaurant lunch and snacks already that day and wanted something on the lighter side, but still healthy and satisfying. This fit the bill perfectly. Complimentary coffee, tea, water, and sodas are available all day long in the Gold lounge also. We appreciated being able to get bottled (in a carton) water anytime. Our rooms was spacious, clean, and appeared to be recently remodeled. Large bathroom, two sinks, comfortable beds and the air conditioning system was quiet and worked very well. We had spectacular views also! We look forward to staying here on our next visit to Chicago, and will definitely try Fairmont Hotels in other destinations. For anyone traveling with kids, this is the perfect location for sightseeing and with Fairmont Gold for breakfast and dinner (if needed) it is the perfect choice.
