Good experience

Central location a couple of blocks from Michigan Avenue. Service with a smile throughout my stay. The rooms were modest, but in good condition and very comfortable. I liked that it had a sofa facing the TV which made it look like it was a mini living room (I wished there were more TV channels available and with better reception). I was not able to use the gym because it was being remodeled, but they offered the gym from their sister hotel across the street. The Lure restaurant downstairs was great - good food and good service. I had breakfast there twice. I did not get to try it for dinner, but the menu looked very good. There was also coffee and tea in the lobby during morning hours. I would return.

kinda sucks

Dreadful. The Fairfield down the street is a resort by comparison. Room had slapdash paint. Fire alarm in the room went off periodically for no reason. Hope that it wasn't a CO2 issue. Neither TV remote worked, made a late night call and they were able to get one of the TVs working with a new remote. The bedroom TV when powered on had a screen full of static. Outside my window at 5am were the tranquil sounds of a construction worker throwing metal into a dumpster, over and over and over. Bartender didn't give attention so left after waiting a full 5 minutes. Won't stay there again, won't recommend.

Great hotel!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

We had a lovely week here - we did have to change rooms initially as the room given wasn’t to our standard of cleanliness - but a new room was given quickly and the staff were very apologetic. Good sized rooms, quiet and the hotel itself is in a fantastic location to walk to most of the tourist spots!
