Good location, very friendly and helpful staff, large clean room. Loved the wall paper with the history of this building and area. Close to the loop but without the noise and congestion.

The staff was very friendly and courteous. The room was more spacious than anticipated for being in Chicago, and we loved that it included a mini fridge, especially with the heat of summer. The attached cafe was also nice for a morning bite to eat before our daily excursions. The location was well within walking distance to Museum Campus and the Mag Mile while also being near the L line. Would stay here again!

The room itself was decent for a city hotel, but the service let it down badly. Despite multiple requests, Hotel Blake has failed to provide a receipt for my stay — something that’s essential when travelling for work. It’s incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. A real shame, as it completely overshadowed what could’ve been a positive review.

Lovely old building with modern hotel , everything was nice ! Convenient if you want to walk rather than drive or uber . Staff extremely helpful ; we loved the bellman who callex himself “ Showtime “.

The hotel is just outside the Loop, but it is only a short walk (15-20 mins) to downtown Chicago, and the Art Institute. The Magnificent Mile and shops, Millenium Park are a little further, about a 30 mins walk. The blue and red line CTA stations are very nearby. So fairly central. Check-in and check-out was quick. The room and bathroom are quite large, and there is a fridge and microwave, complimentary tea and coffee, included as well as the usual hotel room amenities - ironing board, iron, safe etc. The bed and pillows are comfortable. There is a cafe for breakfast and lunch onsite, but there are other food options nearby, including a Lou Malnati's (for excellent pizza). There is daily room service. Overall would recommend.
