I booked a room and paid via Priceline 2 months in advance, however when we got to the hotel, there was no record of priceline having made the payment to the hotel. The next few hours were spent sitting in the reception on the phone with priceline while they figured this out. Neither the hotel nor priceline bothered to fix this proactively and waited for us to get there. After resolution, neither gave us any refunds or rebates for the inconvenience caused and gave us a perfunctory apology.

Fantastic stay in Chicago's historic South Loop

I had a fantastic time staying at Hotel Blake in Chicago during my recent business trip for the Lit Fest! The location right in the historic South Loop is ideal for getting around the city. Everything about our experience was top notch, but the standout was definitly Jockene Hyde in the Author's Lounge. She was beyond attentive, professional, and took care of every single need with a warm smile that made everyone feel at home. Having someone so dedicated on staff made the whole event run seamlessly. The hotel itself has a very unique charm that blends historic character with modern comfort, making it a true gem in the neighborhood. We could not have asked for better hospitality, and I cannot wait to return next year!

JOCKENE Hyde was amazing! I was volunteering with the Lit Fest in September 2026 in the Author’s Lounge and JOCKENE was a major help to pulling this off. She was attentive, helpful, great with all the authors and just a delight to be around. She is a GREAT ambassador for the Hilton, and the South Loop too!

Sister's Vacation adventure

My sister first time in Chicago and we had the best time ever!! Everyone was very helpful at this hotel and so accommodating. But one particular gentleman named Showtime told us where the best places to go in Chicago how to get there best restaurants, shopping, entertainment, site seeing and so much more which made our trip so much fun!! Thank you so much Showtime and everyone who made our stay a trip we will cherish forever. This hotel is a great location and easy access to all the entertainment in Chicago.

Cool, but a few issues

The location is really convenient right in the heart of the city close walkable distance to almost everything which was great. The atmosphere was pretty fair. The staff at the reception was very friendly and it’s got a general welcoming vibe to it. The rooms were immaculate, clean, and the design is just lovely. However we stayed there for two nights three days and we did not have any room service when we left our hotel room to go explore the city when we came back Everything was exactly as it was which I felt was slightly not OK because if you pay full price, you expect to get the full service my other issues just the parking is just not fun or easy to do is a bit on the pricey end so we had to look for a parking lot a few feet away from our hotel and we were lucky to get one that’s super close and much more affordable so generally because of the location and the general friendliness of staff when you arrive it’s a good place to be however, I’m not sure what happened with housekeeping and that is why I can’t give it full stars because I feel like housekeeping versus the reviews of it always being on point is contradictory.
