This property is a motel 6 at best! Paint chipping, carpet unraveling. Stains everywhere. The bathroom flooded from shower. No cold water in the bathroom. All for $450 a night! Buyer beware!! The highlight was the staff at the front desk.

RUN!

The staff is super friendly but not enough to justify me ever coming back here. I`ve seen hotels not have hot water, but I've never seen hotels ONLY have boiling hot water, impossible to shower. Everything is outdated by decades, falling apart, uncomfortable beds, gym has no water and 80% of the equipment is broken.

Weekend shower in Lincoln Park

Great location in Lincoln Park. Slightly tired, therefore pricey, hotel No mini fridge (2 were breastfeeding and needed cold storage), slim breakfast choices especially for gluten free so walked to restaurant, no parking validation or discount for lot a block and a half away Nice staff-had tip money ready - to load car and car seat etc but valet on phone inside whole time Slight sewage odor in room

Rooms are old and need renovations

Room was layed out very oddly. Heater was extremely loud to the point we had to turn it off to sleep (in Chicago in January). Lobby needs a major renovation. Bright spot - rooftop bar/restaurant is amazing.

skeevy room practices

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

I want to highlight how incredible Daniel, the front desk employee, was during my stay. Frankly, he was the only reason I decided to continue my stay, and I'm very grateful for what he was able to do despite larger issues that were outside of his control. He kept an upbeat, welcoming attitude throughout and was ultimately the one who rearranged guests into different rooms, for instance, when ~60 rooms hadn't been turned over by the 3 pm check-in time and people were waiting at least 1-2 hours just to get a room. That delay is on management and their relationship with the cleaning service, not on Daniel. I was part of a wedding block and heard from numerous guests about their experiences. It was clear that you either got placed in an upgraded room and were fine with the condition, or got placed in a non-upgraded room and were severely disappointed. If you're going to place guests in low-quality rooms, you should offer them at a discounted price and be upfront about it during booking. I've stayed in cheaper motels that were the same quality as the initial room I was placed in. While Daniel was working with the manager to get me into a better room, my impression was that the manager hid in the back office and continued instructing staff to push the unrenovated rooms. I was on the phone with other hotels, ready to cancel my stay, until I was finally moved to an upgraded room. I found the whole practice by management pretty skeevy. The first-floor bathrooms were consistently a bit dirty and often out of toilet paper. I've stayed in many hotels across the country and the world, everything from hostels to 5-star accommodations. The physical quality of this hotel is well below average for the price point, and some of the rooms are motel-quality and should be priced accordingly. Attached are photos showing the quality of the renovated vs. unrenovated rooms.
