very bad housekeeping and lost and found service, expected a better follow from management which neglected my complain

The hotel is very nice and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We asked for a room in as quiet a location as possible, and the staff gave me a great room away from elevators and stairs on a quiet floor. The hotel has a great workout room with lots of exercise machines and free weights. Also, a great location near lots of good restaurants and activities. The only issue I had was finding inexpensive parking for the week I stayed. The hotel parking rates are very expensive, even for self park. Staff helped me find a less expensive option nearby.

Where to start? Messed up my booking reservation - forced to change rooms upon arrival, setting us behind schedule from the get-go. There was no ventilation in bathroom. Terribly dim lighting throughout the room, particularly in the washroom. The view was crap, after being assured that I had a room with a view. The bed linens were the worst I've ever slept with in my life - the sheets were comparable to sleeping in a ziploc bag. And the blanket felt like it was made of a diaper. The cheapest bedding imaginable. Food at Stetson's was VERY expensive for VERY average presentation, taste, and quality. Overall, a very disappointing stay.

Previous persons items left in room. Dirty shower. Shower curtain held together with safety pins. Bell staff were awesome though!

The hotel is well located downtown along the Chicago river. Both the hotel and the room were spacious and well-equipped. The conference rate was reasonable for summer in Chicago. I would definitely stay here again.
