Hyatt Regency Chicago

I paid for an upgrade to a room view a west-looking view. Nice view of the river and Lake Michigan. Unfortunately, that's about the only positive thing about the room. The room has one desk chair that doesn't have rollers so you have to slide it, which is not easy even thought it's a bare floor. That's another problem. There is a rug underneath and about 2 feet out from the bed but the rest of the floor is not carpeted and is very cold to the feet. Besides the chair there is one big chaise-type couch, which is not comfortable and it sits in front of the one window, and blocks access to the pole that you use to close or open the drapes. You have to climb up on this lumpy couch on yor knees to operate the drapes. One of the worse things is that there is not dresser as such. Instead there is a long bench with two drawers underneath, which requires bending way over to place or remove your clothing. I just used my suitcase on top of the bench which was also difficult because you can't lean the suitcase top against the wall because there is a small shelf running parallel with the bench. There is a refrigerator but no microwave. Closet is open, not enclosed and sparse with hangers. I will say the room is large, but that's due to the upgrade and the bathroom is your average one with little counter space for your toiletries. Not coming back here EVER.

Great experience, helpful staff and all accomidations were fulfilled for my wife and I. The thuroughly please with every aspect of our stay.

We had an awesome stay at the Hyatt Regency Chicago! As Globalists, we felt incredibly well taken care of the whole time. The recent renovations look amazing; everything feels fresh, modern, and super comfortable. A huge shoutout to Priya and Sebastian for taking such great care of us. We also loved the Regency Club; it was so convenient to grab snacks and drinks whenever we wanted. This is a fantastic option in Chicago. I highly recommend it.

I enjoyed my 3-night stay at the hotel in the East Wing. Great location and atmosphere, with plenty of dining options. The breakfast buffet offered a nice variety of food to choose from.
