A modern, stylish sanctuary in an architecturally rich town, the glass-walled Kinzie Hotel extends to its guests River North’s impeccable taste for what’s culturally relevant. The design is clean-lined, the art is eclectic and the inspiration derives from adventurous settler and trader John Kinzie. This Preferred Hotels & Resorts property – part of the Preferred Hotel Group – is a city fixture for the business traveler, couple or group looking for both escape and arrival.

Great location and nice hotel! It is in walking distance to the Riverwalk and lots of amazing restaurants/bars. The staff were super friendly and helpful (thanks Zach) and they had a good complimentary breakfast. Will definitely be staying at the The Kinzie Hotel the next time we come to Chicago.

Francisco at the front was very generous and welcoming! The hotel staff was super accommodating and checked us in early to our room. They had a great gym and was a great location for walking to restaurants and shops. Overall would stay again!

The bed is super comfy, the pillows are firm enough but still fluffy, and the room is plenty large for two people to spread out their luggage contents. Francisco was super friendly down in the lobby and offered many suggestions about places to visit. He loves his job and it shows. Thanks for having us!

First off, location is great…one block north of the river, two blocks from the Red Line L, a very central location for getting over to Michigan Avenue, the Riverwalk, etc…However, the hotel is under construction so check in is the lobby of the office building next door, the lobby of the hotel is non functioning, and one of the elevators is out…. My problem is, they didn’t tell us when we booked! I hate when hotels do this as I totally get that all places need repairs and updates but in my opinion, it’s just bad form not to notify us….They also add on a facilities charge per person when you check in, and none of the people waiting to check into the hotel in the lobby of the office building, knew anything about it. All of the guests were confused. The staff at check in was pleasant but I couldn’t really understand her… The room on the third floor was fine, comfortable beds, clean hallways, bathroom was fine..all of the staff we met were very cordial…the location is great, but significant updates are needed and better communication to the customer is warranted in my opinion…
