Reviews for Kinzie Hotel

Frustrated with this hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

I stayed at the Kinzie Hotel in Chicago for two nights, booked through Expedia. At check-in, the front desk asked for my credit card for incidentals only — which is standard. However, without my authorization, they charged my card for the first night of my stay, claiming that Expedia’s virtual card didn’t have enough funds because Expedia had canceled the first night. This charge was never disclosed or approved by me. I had already paid Expedia in full and expected all billing to be handled through them. When I called the hotel to dispute it, I asked to speak with a supervisor — instead of resolving the issue, the supervisor hung up on me. This experience left me feeling cheated and disrespected. Poor communication, lack of transparency, and outright rudeness from management make me strongly recommend avoiding the Kinzie Hotel. There are many other hotels in Chicago that value their guests and handle billing honestly — stay there instead

Great stay at Hotel Kinzie!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Kinzie. Check-in was smooth, and they even gave us complimentary water bottles, which was a nice touch after a long trip. The room was very clean, and the bed was super comfortable — I slept great every night. Overall, a great experience. Would definitely stay here again!

Excellent customer service at the Kinzie Hotel

The staff was amazing. I really enjoyed the hosted happy hour (2 free beers) and the location of the hotel. The front desk manager (Abdiel) was especially helpful and held my bags while I explored the city on my last day in town after I checked out. They also gave me a bottle of water each night on request. Super nice, 10/10 would recommend and most likely stay at the Kinzie again next time I'm in Chicago.

Great hotel in the middle of everything

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

We had a fantastic stay at Kinzie Hotel last weekend. The staff were all very friendly and were very helpful with holding our bags both the day we arrived and the day we left. They also have a fridge they can keep food in which is awesome. The breakfast wasn't as plentiful as what they seem to advertise so I would do what we did and get a light breakfast before going to brunch somewhere else a few hours later. We didn't get to take advantage of the happy hour but it looked really good. One of the best hotel beds I've slept in; I slept straight through the night.

Very clean!Everyone was so nice.really good breakfast with coffee DeAndre front desk went out of his way to give us tips of places to go nearby as it was our first trip to Chicago. Jennifer who worked in hospitality was super sweet and accommodating. Overall 10/10 would definitely stay here on our next trip back to Chicago.
