The Langham outshines its competitors in Chicago. I wish there were Langhams everywhere. It's a reason to go to Chicago all by itself.

We're not in anyway rich but saved up for a trip to Chicago to spoil ourselves. The get the third day free special they have helped tip the decision to stay here and I'm so glad I did. It was amazing. The day we arrived we walked from the train station with our bags and arrived hot and sweaty and the receptionist made us feel like we'd just stepped out of a limo in designer clothing. We sprung the extra for the club and it was totally worth it the food was so good we ended up eating there for breakfast and lunch every day and it was nice to have a spot other than our room to sit in an evening to read or chat and overlook the river. The room was immaculate, the food amazing, the staff so professional and made us feel special. We were so worried as it was a lot of money for us but we don't regret a cent we spent and are already talking about saving up to go again. My one and only complaint is the toiletries have a strong scent so if you are sensitive to perfumes in products bring your own.

We had a fabulous stay at the Langham. It is ideally located on the river between the Magnificent Mile and the Loop. Tons of excellent restaurants nearby and within walking distance to Millennium Park, Institute of Art and shopping on Michigan Avenue. The rooms are spacious and immaculate. The public spaces are modern and elegant. The staff are friendly, professional and attentive.

I told my son I’d cover a “mini-moon” for he and his wife at either Four Seasons, Ritz, Waldorf, or Langham Chicago. He picked Langham because of the Riverview Suite. At 6:30pm on a Sat. I text how is your room and he says “don’t know, not ready yet”. Desk gave him $100 bar credit and sent them away. I email front office manager Sat at 6:49pm. Monday afternoon I have not heard back as to why he was so delayed getting a room, so I email GM and he says FOM will get back to me. Finally Director of front office calls and basically just says sorry. Doesn’t help our opinion that a member of the wedding party told Langham server of a nut allergy and yet had allergic reaction requiring call to 911. Sorry Langham but you won’t get a second chance to make a first impression with my family.
