Bedbug in Chicago O'Hare Hilton hotel room

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

When I got into bed at the Chicago O'Hare Hilton, I discovered a bed bug. I captured it in a glass and called the front desk. A hotel representative came up and I showed it to him. He said that he thought I would have to change rooms and took the bug downstairs to show to the manager. He came back up and It was confirmed that it was a bed bug. We were moved to another room. The representative gave me a business card for the front office manager and told me that I would be compensated in any way I wanted. He told me that twice. I paid for the room using points and put the balance on my credit card. The amount I put on my credit card was reversed. I said I wanted my points reinstated. The person I talked to would not do that. I called several more times and left a message for the front office manager on duty that night, my calls have not been returned. Good for airport. Below avg Loews.

Good for an airport hotel. Below average for a Loews. Beds are comfortable. Linens are nice. Rooms are oddly appointed. Bathroom the most odd, imo. Lots of wear and tear. Airport shuttle only picks up and drops off from Terminal 2.

Parking Impossible

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

It’s really a shame that I needed to take 2 stars off due to this hotel’s parking situation. It appears they offer a stay and ride program due to proximity to O’Hare airport. This means hotel guest have an almost impossible mission to find a spot in their garage. I understand the need to increase revenue, but hotel guests lose out. Having to go up to the roof to find a couple of empty spaces is unacceptable. The hotel is lovely, to bad.

Great place to stay.

Great staff! Friendly and professional. Room was clean and comfortable, no issues. Noise was not a problem, although we were able to hear some fireworks in the evening from a concert nearby. No complaints. We ate at the restaurant and the service was good as was the food.

Noisy and a poor value

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

The hotel looks nice, the staff were polite and the room I stayed in was clean and that's where the positives end. The noise levels were high and you could hear the airplanes taking off/landing at the airport. In addition the rooms in the back of the building overlook ventilation vents that made loud annoying humming noises through the night. Soundproofing is pretty bad. I've stayed at other airport hotels and unlike this hotel noise from airplanes was minimal. The bed was a bit too firm and the pillows provided poor support for the head and felt hot to the point that I had to change pillows during the night. As for value, this hotels is a poor value at over $200 per night plus a steep parking fee of $44 per night and you have to pay for breakfast. Definitely staying somewhere else next time
