Had to give it 5 stars due to the room, lap pool (two 25m and one 20m), staff and the Nomi restaurant and bar (outside bar is very nice if the suns out 👍). Only slight issue was the noise transfer through the interconnecting doors was pretty bad. Could hear people talking in the adjacent room. Didn’t massively affect us though and had to say excellent (5 🌟) rather than good (4 🌟)

We stayed here for the second time in May 2025 (first visit was Jan 2025 with our young adult children). Initially we picked it because we had Hyatt points to use, and we’re glad we tried it! Previously we’ve stayed at The Peninsula but we like Park Hyatt more. While the rooms are smaller, the hotel feels less stuffy. It’s still a luxury experience for 1/2 the price of the peninsula. The lake view is wonderful.

I spent two nights at the Park Hyatt Chicago. Although I've stayed at many Hyatts before (Regency, Grand, etc.), this is my first time trying the Park brand and I was very impressed. The location is excellent, right off the Magnificent Mile and two blocks to the Chicago/State red line station. The lobby was a little understated for a 5-star hotel, but my lakeview room was fantastic. The decor felt modern with electronic blinds and a luxurious bathroom. I really liked the window seat. My only issue is that the shower could've been a little larger. I had breakfast at Nomi one morning and it was quite busy. I enjoyed the ube pancakes. During my first evening, I had a swim in the pool, which was a decent size. The water was a little cool. I also tried out the fitness center, which was as expected for a hotel of this caliber. Front desk staff were professional but some were a bit too formal. I understand this is a luxury hotel, but a little warmth goes a long way. All of the Nomi staff were quite friendly. Finally, there are only 2 elevators (plus one to the restaurant/spa), so you can sometimes have a longer wait. Overall, this is an excellent choice for a trip to Chicago and I would gladly return.

I’ve stayed at this hotel multiple times over the years and it’s never let me down. The rooms are clean, check in is efficient and the housekeeping is always responsive. Love the fact that it’s across the road from RL Restaurant which is one of the best in town.

The place was luxurious and thank you so much Casey at the concierge for making this stay truly special!! However, I would like to point out a small incident that really made me not feel like a valued guest. I was not aware of that the tips were included in the bill for breakfast as part of the GOH/globalist benefits so I paid extra for the tips. I inquired with the front desk and noticed that on the check the tips part was not explicitly written out (it’s written as something like package svc ) and I was not told by the host/waiters either. I was fine with tipping more but felt like this was somewhat predatory so I mentioned it to the front desk lady that maybe they could improve on this by making it more explicit so that people would be aware of it. The front lady instead told me that all the luxurious hotels and Hyatt hotels do this in a somewhat condescending tone. Well.. thanks for telling me that I am dumb I guess? I was just simply trying to give some feedback on this However, it was the only negative (but very negative) thing I experienced. I would have given it a 5 star if this incident had not happened.
