Location is very prime. Easy access to downtown tourist destinations. Ulises at the front desk was extremely helpful as well as our bellman. Very personable. My kids took advantage of the pool, indoor basketball court, and pool table room.. Didn’t love the sliding bathroom doors as they didn’t offer much privacy. Would definitely stay again.

The front desk experience was disappointing. The staff came across as indifferent, and at times even rude. Our check-in was delayed by about 45 minutes due to housekeeping running behind—which is understandable—but there was little acknowledgment or apology. Instead, we were initially told to come back later, which added to the frustration. We also had to keep checking back ourselves to see if the room was ready, as there was no phone call or any communication to update us. When we requested additional bottled water (there were four of us but only two provided), we were told that only two were allowed. This felt unnecessarily inflexible. There were also several issues with the room itself. The toilet ran continuously throughout the night, and the room did not appear to be thoroughly cleaned—there was visible dust on the coffee maker and paper cups, and no coffee was provided. Additionally, the sauna was out of order (I even took a photo of the sign). That said, the valet service was excellent, and the bar staff were friendly and attentive, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, for a 4-star hotel, the overall experience felt much closer to a 2-star stay.

I chose this hotel mainly because of its location and swimming pool. Unfortunately, I was shocked when I saw how the hotel cleaned the swimming pool deck - they power washed the swimming pool deck by pushing water with everything on the deck into the swimming pool! I do not think that was the best practice and I hope the hotel management follow the regulations and guidance for swimming pool maintenance. The hotel could get information from: https://us.citylaws.org/il/chicago/chicago-public-pool-chlorination-rules-illinois.

The Radisson Blu was perfect. Staff was friend, the hotel is gorgeous and the rooms were big and clean. The location could not have been better.
