Fantastic stay at the Sofitel in Chicago!
I always stay at the Sofitel when I’m in Chicago, and it never disappoints! The rooms are consistently clean, spacious, and offer incredible views of the city. The location is perfect—right in the heart of downtown, close to everything. This time, Daniel at the front desk made my stay extra special. He went out of his way to help us check in and even upgraded my room for my birthday. His kindness and professionalism truly stood out and made the experience even more memorable. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Chicago. Great service, beautiful rooms, and a team that genuinely cares about your stay!

my wife and I stayed at the Sofitel hotel august, 2025. the location is terrific; shops and restaurants are nearby and exceptional. the staff was extremely professional and accommodating. the room was very clean, well laid out and provided a terrific view of the skyline. The room, food, service, and staff were great! Everyone was very friendly, I wish I could afford to stay a little longer! The location was ideal and I will return with my daughter next summer.

Vive la Sofitel
Nestled on a quiet street charmingly named Chestnut, allowing easy access for guests, towers the stunningly designed Sofitel. Full disclosure, when I stayed here I was a Sofitel concierge on the East Coast. But I like being on the opposite side of the desk every once in a while to get spoiled like I spoil my guests. Also, we learn from each other. Many of my colleagues at other properties have taught me many ways to surprise and delight guests. Obie was concierge, and if you’re still there, I thank you for taking care of me so well and also my mom on a separate trip a year later. This hotel is perfectly situated in a great, relatively tranquil part of town. Which is nice to find in a massive burg like Chi.

Love everything except mattresses
I love the Sofitel, except the beds! They are hard as a rock, even with the “topper”. I wish they could one floor with American type mattresses. Even Hilton Garden inn has more comfy mattresses. The rest is wonderful—especially the front desk people!
