The Serai

We recently spent three nights at The Residence at The Serai Chikmagalur and had a wonderful stay. The property itself is beautiful, with spacious rooms, stunning views, and a peaceful atmosphere. However, what truly sets this resort apart is the service. Travelling with a young child and elderly parents can be quite demanding, but the team made everything feel effortless. A special mention must go to Sumant, who was simply outstanding. From arranging transport to coordinating meal requests and helping us manage the many moving parts that come with family travel, nothing was ever too much trouble. He anticipated our needs, followed through on every request, and genuinely made our holiday more relaxing. The hospitality industry needs more people like him. We would also like to thank Uday, whose calm, patient, and gentle nature never went unnoticed. Whether helping us with the buggy or assisting family members, he was always ready to help with a smile and never made us feel rushed. A thank you as well to Anil and Yuvok, both of whom played a part in making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Every interaction we had with the staff was warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming. We arrived needing a break and left feeling genuinely rested and refreshed. That is perhaps the best compliment we can give. We cannot wait to return and would happily recommend The Serai Chikmagalur to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with truly exceptional service.

My wife and I recently stayed at The Serai Chikmagalur as part of our honeymoon, and the experience was truly exceptional. The property is breathtakingly beautiful, nestled amidst lush coffee plantations and offering a perfect blend of luxury, tranquility, and nature. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome and valued. A special mention goes to Ms. Shruthi at the reception, who was extremely warm, friendly, and professional. She ensured a smooth check-in experience and patiently explained all the facilities and activities available at the resort, making us feel right at home. The hospitality of the entire staff was outstanding. Every team member we interacted with was courteous, attentive, and always greeted us with a smile. Their genuine warmth added a personal touch to our stay. The food was absolutely delicious, with a wide variety of options and excellent quality. Every meal was a delightful experience. We also thoroughly enjoyed the plantation tour conducted by Ms. Joshna. She was knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about the estate, making the tour both informative and enjoyable.

Great property with good hospitality. They do try to understand everyone needs better and cater to the same. A great plantation to go birding as well.
