My family and our friend had a great time for the three nights stay in the coach house at Lucknam park. We went horse riding which was a beautiful experience for me and my 8 year old son. He also loved the archery lesson so much, he had a second one. Guest reservations coordintor Anna made everything so easy for us. She was very helpful, with good attention to detail. Everything in the cottage was prepared nicely for a comfortable stay. All the staff were very friendly and efficient. The food in the Walled Garden restaurant was tasty with original menus. The grounds were spectacular. We liked the children's area with the hideaway hut. We also liked the spa area.

We stayed at Lucknam Park Hotel & Spa for two nights as a family with two children and had an outstanding experience. The arrival alone is spectacular. A nearly one-mile tree-lined driveway leads up to the manor house, with mature trees forming a canopy overhead and horses grazing in the surrounding meadows. The estate is expansive, impeccably maintained, and visually breathtaking — it feels far removed from everyday life. The manor house itself is magnificent and beautifully preserved. It genuinely feels like a privately inhabited English country residence rather than a hotel. The interiors are elegant and atmospheric, with curated paintings, classic furnishings, and refined architectural details throughout. Every area of the property — from the courtyard to the surrounding gardens — is meticulously manicured. Lucknam Park’s equestrian facilities are a wonderful addition and reinforce the authentic country estate character. The presence of stables and horses adds to the sense of place and makes the experience feel distinctly English. The spa facilities are modern and thoughtfully designed, with a beautiful pool, outdoor sections, and well-appointed treatment rooms that integrate seamlessly with the historic surroundings. Service throughout our stay was attentive, warm, and highly professional. The hotel staff were consistently welcoming and detail-oriented. We were also pleasantly surprised to receive an upgrade for one of our rooms, which was a thoughtful gesture and very much appreciated. Small details elevated the stay: excellent water pressure in the shower, high-quality bath products, thick pre-warmed towels, generous in-room amenities including still and sparkling water and tea, a welcoming bottle of champagne, and an evening turndown service that prepared the room beautifully for the night. The attention to detail was exceptional. If there is one minor area for improvement, it would be the breakfast service. While the food itself was excellent and beautifully presented, the fully à la carte format occasionally resulted in longer waiting times. A slightly more streamlined approach could enhance the experience further. Overall, Lucknam Park delivers a true five-star country house experience. The combination of estate setting, elegant interiors, equestrian character, excellent spa facilities, and attentive service makes it a highly memorable and recommendable stay.

For a recent get-together with friends, I booked an equestrian experience at Lucknam Park and it was absolutely unforgettable. The horses were stunning and so gentle, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. As someone who hadn’t ridden in years (and was a little nervous!), I was immediately put at ease by the friendly, professional team and by the lovely horse I was paired with (I think her name was Delilah!). The scenery was breathtaking, especially riding through the open fields and up the grand driveway. From start to finish, it felt like such a special experience and one I won’t forget anytime soon. A huge thank you to the team for making the day so memorable. To top it all off, the spa was incredibly relaxing and exactly what was needed after being back in the saddle! And finishing at the Walled Garden with delicious food and such warm, welcoming staff was the perfect ending. We’ll definitely be back 💛

Our 4-year-old had a serious riding accident here and was flung from her horse. The circumstances surrounding the accident raise serious concerns about whether appropriate supervision and safety procedures were in place. The school refused to provide the incident report and would not properly engage with us afterwards. Parents should think carefully about transparency and safety procedures before enrolling young children.
