Disappointed

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

A beautiful hotel in lovely surroundings but maintenance of room poor. And service for tour group unsatisfactory. Bathroom needs serious attention. Ceiling has been painted but drips down walls. Mould between tiles. Not enough hot water to fill bath. Basin cracked. We couldn’t order drinks before meal as not enough staff on bar. In fact just one. Even when we were seated service still inadequate. What a shame this is a hotel in beautiful surroundings but feel restored h on laurels.

Peaceful secluded hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

This is a gorgeous hotel, very secluded and nice to get back to nature. The road to reach it is a bit hairy, steep and many bends but it was worth it. Our room was huge and so was the bathroom with a big circular bath and separate shower. The restaurant was nice and the food delicious. There is a spa and a pool but we didn’t have time to use it. We did however use the hot springs which were a few minutes walk away from the hotel ( not connected to the hotel, you have to pay 15 soles). There was a plug in mosquito repellent in the room but we didn’t see any mosquitoes at all. The only thing I had a problem with was the washing didn’t dry in the bathroom. I’d washed a few things as soon as I arrived and 2 days later they still hadn’t dried. Also my hair took ages to dry with the hairdryer. Not sure if it was the humidity although it didn’t seem humid in there. The grounds of the hotel are pretty with plenty of bird feeders so loads of birds and they even have a baby alpaca. I’d definitely stay here again

Amazing surroundings, but the hotel is poor

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 9 months ago

The hotel is located in a very beautiful area surrounded by fantastic scenery. However, the hotel facilities and rooms are somewhat outdated and in need of renovation. The rooms are large but not very comfortable or cozy. The restaurant staff is very friendly, but the food is not the best. This hotel has the advantage of being very close to thermal springs, within walking distance.
