Melia Cayo Coco

We visited October 2025 right before Melissa. The resort itself was in need of repair & updates, getting supplies was clearly challenging but we had a great 9 day vacation. The staff truly were stellar, pools guys, bartenders, cleaning crews, and wait staff. Nightly entertainment in the lobby was always fun. We had read all about the mosquitoes so were prepared, but aside from dew point it wasn’t bad. Resort was kept very clean, pool crystal clear. Feel for the team and the cats at this resort. Hope things will resolve and Canadians can start heading back and supporting Cuba again. We’ve had many great vacations in Cuba. Would recommend Melia hotels (las Americas is great).

It was perfect 👌 staff was great, honorable mention to the daycare lady, our waiter was superb. Special restaurants were first class.

We have been to Melia 4 times and have always had an excellent vacation. This is our absolute favorite resort in Cuba. This year our vacation was a bit different, however it was still wonderful. We were on the final repatriation flight out of Cayo Coco due to the fuel shortages. As all guests were forced to leave due to cancelation of flights, there were very few people remaining at the hotel when we departed February 18th. The hotel closed the buffet and el a carte restaurants due to lack of guests and likely lack of supplies. They were also forced to close the gift shops for the same reasons. We had just one place to eat with a couple of menu options, but we were treated like royalty by all staff. Their concern was ensuring the guests were taken care of with the resources available to them. They never complained even though they were working double shifts of 12 to 16 hours to conserve fuel supplies. We had a beautiful beach, pool, and resort essentially to ourselves with all of our needs being met with smiles and gratefulness by wonderful Cuban people. Most that were forced to go home were upset their vacation was cut short, we fortunately had ours extended by a few days. We always felt safe and had plently of food and drinks. We will definitely be back. We very much look forward to returning to Melia when we are able.

i was on the last plane out of cayo coco went for three weeks only got to stay 10 days because of the fuel shortage. I have been there 20 times and would like to thank the management and staff for all their help and kindness. Even with the fuel problem the food was great,rooms top class. Can't wait to return.

We enjoyed our time at Melia Cayo Coco resort and the staff were amazing. Entertainment could be a little better, the stage could be used more.
