Sandpearl Resort

Family trip, booked 5 rooms for 3 days to spend time with family. Expected a high end experience but was delivered an underwhelming stay. Good location, decent size rooms, clean. What sets out a good place from an average one is the little things. Not so good. The reserving of chairs by the pool and on the beach is out of control. By 7am all of the chairs by the pool, and most of the chairs on the beach are reserved with towels. The hotel claims to have a policy to restrict this, however it wasn't enforced. Even on a day with torrential thunderstorms the chairs had been reserved. The hotel charges a daily resort fee however they still charge $30 per day for beach umbrellas. The hotel bar only had one server. The server wasnt happy that she was the only one taking care of a lot of tables and made a point of telling everyone she was overworked. Not pleasant. Battery on the lock to our door died and we couldnt get into our room for some time. On a positive the hotel was fairly prompt in fixing. Day before checkout we asked for a 1 hour additional late checkout. Was informed that we could only do this after 9am on the day of check out. The next day at 9am we went down to ask again. At this point we were told there were no more late check outs available. We than found out from others in our group that they went down at 8am and were granted a late checkout. Upon bringing this to the attention of Leigh Ann at the front desk she essentially said to bad. Its the little things that distinguish average from great. The Sandpearl didn't deliver. All of these items were brough to the attention of management before departure.

I would have rated this 5/5 but our room overlooked the garbage area which was noisy and at times smelled. We paid for a partial gulf view but didn’t expect it to be over the garbage area. We were return guests and were told that the hotel was at 50% capacity but they would’ve charged a fee to change our room.

Absolutely amazing. Staff was fantastic. Lucy at front desk greeted us with a smile upon check-in and our trip was perfect from that point forward. Resort was super clean and all staff was on-point. Never an issue. Special thanks to Taylor at Tate Island Grill and Daniel at Caretta on the Gulf. Their service was impeccable as was everyone's at brunch and in-house Starbucks. We will be back!

Its a beautiful resorts with limited amenities. I can only say we were upgrade ta beautiful suıte but the hotel is not 5* star hotel by any meansI It only has one restaurant and one outdoor bar. They charge 15$ a lounge chair for their guests per person per day which should be free. It is extremely overpriced for Clearwater area

I just want to say THANK YOU Sandpearl for giving this postpartum mom with a 3 month old baby a young son and a tired dad a dream vacation that we needed. The staff was so so accommodating and it was so nice to feel so supported. The room was beautiful and the beach was stunning. With a baby you are in the room alot and room service was top notch. Our 5 year old son had THE best time this hotel has the best esthetic and feels so clean. I got the best pedicure with my baby in my lap and no one minded that little man slept on my lap during dinner at the Caretta. We felt so comfortable and not out of place and the food was amazing. We are already planning our next stay and imagining how much easier it will be as our kids grow older and we keep coming back.
