Sandpearl Resort

I have been coming there for 14 years. The service at the pool this time was pretty inconsistent. Had to go up and get my own soda several times because it took so long for chair service and most flags were broken. The waiters would NOT bring me ice water. They pointed me to the fruit water several times, which I think is gross. Then to the water bottle filling station. I finally had to find the ice machine and bring a cooler and cups down and water from the room. I thought that was ridiculous given the fact that we ordered food, soda and drinks every day from Tates. Additionally, listening to the hammering on the new walkway and power tools and smelling the gas from the tools every day while trying to eat or relax at the pool kind of took away from the beach atmosphere and we couldn’t hear the music at all unless we were sitting AT Tate’s. The pool area is what we love the most and it wasn’t exceptional this time for the nightly rate of almost $800. Other little things I noticed, the bellman/valet attendants rarely opened the doors or offered us water or greeted us. These all sound like little things, but in the past these are the little touches that have kept me coming back though there are other nice places that are much less expensive. The Sand Pearl is absolutely beautiful and a lovely place to stay, but I hope they bring back the small things that make a big difference.

The service was absolutely outstanding and provided with genuine sincerity. After a late flight and check-in at around 1:am I was surprised to learn that my credit card did not like the fact I was in Florida. With the help of the gentleman at the front desk, we were finally able to check in due to his assistance in resolving what was nobody‘s problem but mine. Angel, who works the front desk also went above and beyond and making sure my wife had a desperately needed item that was difficult to fly with. I was absolutely stunned at his level of service. Thank you Angel, you have no idea. The gentlemen that handled valet parking were amazing. Always smiling always wanting to make sure everything was prompt and on point with a stellar attitude. The cleanliness of the hotel is unmatched in my opinion. The attention to detail was amazing and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Often I simply enjoyed setting in the luxurious lobby drinking morning coffee . The turn down service was a really nice touch that I was not expecting. The gentleman who works the pool area setting up your chairs was such a nice guy it was not about to let me do it on my own. I really appreciate that. We have been frequent guest at Clearwater Beach for close to 20 years but this was our first trip to Sand Pearl and I wish I would’ve tried it years ago. All I have thought about is returning since the day I stepped off my flight returning home. One of the nicest stays I’ve ever experienced. I’ve been fortunate in my life to stay at many fine resorts but I have never stayed anywhere where the effort was so sincere and obvious. Thank you for going above and beyond.

Five Stars! Stayed two nights on June 3rd and June 4th. Awesome experience! At check-in learned we received a free upgrade to a better room with gulf view. Room spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed outstanding food and service at both Carettas and Seaguini. Women’s Spa services for facial and pedicure very experienced and talented team. Location right on the beach and private beach for guests! Beach is so clean! Resort staff so kind, attentive and professional! I slept so well; 7 hours straight, which is not my normal… so the bed was very comfortable. So much to do for children, and adults. Pool is big and clean! We will plan to go back again! Special shout out and big Thank you GM and Spa Director!

The reason I rated it a 4 was of the following reasons. The bathrooms located in the lobby and pool were not clean. This was my experience in the men’s . My wife would not use them either for she would go to our room on the seventh floor. The Sandpearl use to have a pleasant piped in sent throughout the lobby. The smell was musty. In addition, the bar and food service at the pool was sub par we ordered drinks and snacks and it took over 40 minutes for them to be served after we ran down our server. One last mention the rooms were outstanding and beautiful. All in all it was a pleasant experience except they just need to be more attentive to cleanliness in the public area.

This hotel is simply amazing!! Beautiful hotel lobby, rooms and pool. Perfect location. Hotel was stunning. Staff were great. Negative - it’s valet parking only, so if like us you arrive in a car but you are not going to use the car during your entire stay it’s going to cost you +$40 per night, I wasn’t aware of the valet only parking or cost prior to arrival and would have just return my car to the rental had I known. Perhaps this needs to be made clearer on the website.
