Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort and Spa

This attractive hotel is located smack in the middle of Clearwater Beach. The rooms are great, nearly all with partial ocean views and well kept. The very nice 8th floor pool is heated and overlooks the ocean. All the restaurants, pool bar and other food offerings were tasty and in general the hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating of guest needs. We plan to return next time in the area.

It was a fast and easy experience

Very nice hotel! We had a king, with a partial ocean view. I could sit out there for hours and just watch the world and all the people go by. So relaxing! And not one spider or bug on that balcony the whole week we were there! Five stars just for that! All staff were very friendly, in fact I believe it was a manager that bought me and my husband drinks after we walked down 15 flights of stairs during a fire alarm. (I swear nobody else even heeded the alarm, we were the only one in the stairwell). We only ate breakfast in the main restaurant (which was good), but we did have room service a couple of times and enjoyed the rooftop bar, The Tropico, for food and drinks. (The kids menu burgers and fries was plenty for me!) All were good experiences. Hotel is in walking distance of so many restaurants, shops and of course, the pier. We only hung out on the beach one day with the loungers and cabana. I was a little disappointed that they weren't included in the stay. The cost was $30 per day. Otherwise I was content to hang out on the loungers at the pool. A store called Surf Style is just a couple of doors down that has besides clothing, your snacks, drinks and all the tourist goodies.

What a fantastic property! From the moment we checked in (shoutout to Tyler), we truly enjoyed our stay. We stayed in a partial-view double room with a kitchenette, and it exceeded expectations. The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and well maintained. The balcony was a highlight—we were even able to spot dolphins swimming in the ocean from our room. The space was also quiet, which made for a very relaxing stay. The included bikes are a nice touch; however, smaller sizes for younger children would make this amenity even better. As for amenities, the pool is on the smaller side and was quite busy, so we didn’t end up using it. There is, however, a gorgeous terrace with a hot tub on the top floor. My kids loved that we could check out games like Guess Who from the front desk—they played every night—and they also enjoyed the kid-friendly movies shown in the evenings. The location is excellent—walkable and directly across from the beach. We also rented a beach cabana for a full beach day, which was a great experience. Overall, this was a memorable stay, and we would happily return.
