Hotel Bellevue Cogne

The hotel is in a fantastic setting. Highlights: the breakfast, the spa, the Landrover that drops you off and picks you up from hiking trails, the quality of the food and the great wine list. Lowlights: if you come with your four legged companion be ready to sleep in a shoebox with a cold stone floor, not a room. We booked relaxing massages and if the room was nice and at the right temperature, the therapists applied zero pressure (even when asked - it was more like someone spreading oil on your body), missed some parts (no arms massage was weird) and cut the treatment short (they pick you up at the top of the hour and we were back in our room 60mn later so the massage effectively lasted 45mn instead of 60. Though we booked the restaurant 3 months in advance we had a table with zero view - quite disappointing.

We stayed in Room 604 , across the road from the main hotel with a stunning view of the Mountain and Glacier from the living room and sunny balcony, and the meadow / valley view from the bedroom. Enormous bathroom with shower, the spa bath was in the bedroom. At time of writing 510 Euros/night for this Suite. As one would expect from a Relais and Chateau hotel, service was impeccable. Claudia on Reception was so warm and attentive. We didn't use the spa facilities during our 6 night stay, but we must have been the only ones ,as guest discreetly walked around in their bathrobes. The rooms are furnished in a Alpine style, wooden floors and ceilings, quirky old furniture, many decorative touches, heavy floral drapes. Turn down service every evening, excellent breakfast selection. Food in the Hotel's main restaurant was excellent, an amuse bouche and excellent bread came with the meals. Tea and cake served complimentary every afternoon and there were visits to the hotel and wine cellar offered on certain days. Being family run, everything is immaculate, we could not fault our stay.

Nice location and village. The food at the restaurants were very good. The spa is a bit unusual but it is good.

We visited this wonderful hotel for the third time and again we were trilled with the overall experience. Not only the setting is unique but also the service is outstanding and warm. For more than thirty years we have had the privilege of visiting high level hotels. The Bellevue hotel clearly is one of our favourites, not necessarily because it is exceptionally luxurious but foremost because of its warmth and the relaxing atmosphere. The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff is exceptional. The rooms are decorated in a unique way with a touch of local nostalgie. A far cry from the sometimes boring business hotel rooms that you get in a lot of major brand hotels. The SPA is gigantic with loads of wellbeing options where you can easily spent a whole afternoon. A very nice lunch and dining offer with several restaurants operated by the family business both in and outside the hotel with one restaurant in the beautiful village. The wine offering is outstanding. Mr Rino as the first sommelier of Italië shares his knowledge with his guests with true passion and drive making dinner a wonderful experience. Thank you for making our stay such a joy.

A museum-worthy selection of folk furnishings and artifacts grace public and private areas, rooms are individually designed to recreate Alpine mountain lodgings, and several restaurants inside and outside of the hotel structure combine forces as chef-driven living laboratories celebrating Aosta Valley cuisine. In addition the spa and pool areas provide an array of relaxation therapies while, again, surrounding clientele with artwork and sculptures of the region. The view behind the hotel of the Sant Orso meadow and Gran Paradiso Glacier, and natural surroundings from every vantage point inside, make for stellar guest stays.
