Reviews for Hotel Polaris

Front desk reservation

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Called the front desk to book a room. Spoke to Brittany she informed me she was the only person there and she didn’t have time to provide me with rates for our upcoming stay. I needed to go online to book. For a hotel that claims to be a 5 star hotel I would think I could make a reservation over the phone. Sad to say we were looking forward to staying here. But have since booked a room over the phone with a neighboring hotel.

We’re Sold

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

We have had occasion to visit the Air Force Academy several times in recent years, and we’ve stayed at several different hotels in Colorado Springs for these visits. For our most recent visit, we stayed at Hotel Polaris, and we will not be staying anywhere else from now on. This will be our home away from home when in Colorado Springs. The location cannot be beat for visiting the Academy. When traffic backs up at the north gate to get on base, it’s great to be staying basically at the gate and skipping all that traffic. The facility is beautifully designed and well-maintained. Staff members are very friendly and helped with anything we needed. We are already looking forward to our next stay.

Exceptional Staff and Service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

Curis, Michael, Chef Ken, Stacey, and all the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly during our stay. The hotel is awesome, has incredible views, and is situated perfectly near the Air Force Academy. It has a high level of design, flight focused of course, but is not over the top or pretentious. Comfortable and quiet, it was the perfect place to base our guys golf weekend out of.

A Stay That Touched the Heart

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

From the moment we arrived, it was clear this was no ordinary hotel stay—it was an experience that touched the heart. Returning as a former resident and finding such elegance, sophistication, and personalized care waiting for us was both humbling and uplifting. This property isn’t just a hotel—it’s a living tribute to service, tradition, and excellence. Every detail impressed: the stunning design, the incredible food and beverage, guest rooms fit for any Full Bird Colonel, and—our favorite—the simulators. To sit, even for a short time, in the seat of a fighter or commercial pilot was exhilarating. Yet as thrilling as that was, what lingers most is the warmth of hospitality. That is what we keep talking about weeks later. It all came into focus when we met General Manager Curtis—humble, gracious, and present among his staff and guests. His leadership reminded me of The Broadmoor years ago, and it’s clear The Polaris is already thriving under his guidance. Many individuals made our stay memorable. Hayden, our restaurant server, shared not only excellent service but also stories of the Eisenhower Course and local history. Cindy, his teammate, made the best milkshakes ever. Stacy at the pool was attentive and professional, creating a perfect afternoon. Sly, Sylvester, and Chef Ken transformed what could have been a banquet dinner into an unforgettable evening, dining as the sun set over the Academy. And Isabelle, the barista, brought joy to every guest passing through the lobby with genuine care and conversation. My only suggestion? Keep the humble hearts and genuine desire to serve that shone in every interaction. That spirit cannot be bought—it is lived. The Polaris is a jewel, a tribute to those who protect our freedoms, and a place where every guest can feel both respected and at home. Congratulations to the team for creating such a special experience.

Best Fresh New Property in the West

Outstanding experience in this spanking new very cool property. The facilities from the rooms to the restaurants, to the food, to the flight simulator are nice, clean, and fresh. The staff were very well trained and offered very personal warm services.
