There are hotels you stay at and hotels you remember. Hotel Polaris lands firmly in the second category, and I want to explain exactly why. Walk in and the design stops you. The mid-century modern aviation theme is executed with real intention, not just as a decorative concept but as something you feel throughout the entire property. The guest rooms carry that same thoughtfulness. Comfortable in the way that actually matters, meaning you sleep well, everything works, the space feels fresh, and the views remind you where you are. The food and beverage program here is genuinely impressive for a hotel of any category. Pamela's Restaurant is a destination on its own. I want to specifically recognize Stacey, whose service is the kind that makes you slow down and actually enjoy the meal rather than just consume it. She reads the room, she knows the menu, and she makes you feel like a regular even on your first visit. Before you do anything else in the morning, find your way to Lovie's coffee shop. Akira runs that counter with real skill and an energy that is quietly contagious. A great cup of coffee made by someone who actually cares is not a small thing, and Lovie's delivers it every time. Doolie's brings its own personality to the mix, and the rooftop Aviator Bar needs to be experienced at least once at sunset with Pikes Peak in full view. It is one of those moments that stays with you. The service culture across this entire property is what separates Hotel Polaris from the competition. Every associate you encounter seems to genuinely want to be there, and that is rarer than it should be. Colorado Springs has a landmark. This is it.

Recently my husband and I stayed at the Hotel Polaris while visiting the grands and great grands. As a retired travel agent with oodles of both personal and professional experience, I know that hotels often don’t live up to the hype. Hotel Polaris is the rare exception, not only meeting but exceeding our every expectation - pure class without the stuffiness. From our lovely accommodations and tasty room service, dining at Pamela’s and delightful staff, we were thoroughly impressed. From our warm welcome to our final day, we knew we had chosen the right hotel. Thank you Hotel Polaris!

Our stay at Hotel Polaris was honestly one of the best luxury getaway experiences we’ve had. The cocktails at The Aviator were incredible with a great selection and some of the best drinks we’ve had in a long time. The views from the hotel and rooftop areas made the entire experience feel elevated and special. The couples massage at Ascend Spa & Wellness was hands down the best spa and massage experience I’ve ever had. The atmosphere, attention to detail, and level of care were exceptional. We finished the evening with a romantic dinner at Pamela’s and ended the night back at Aviator for nightcaps. Everything from start to finish felt luxurious, relaxing, and memorable. We cannot wait to come back.

We found ourselves staying at Hotel Polaris under unexpected circumstances after a major water leak in our home displaced our family. I am also recovering from surgery and required ADA accommodations, which made an already stressful situation even more challenging. From the moment we arrived, the hotel staff went above and beyond to support us with kindness, understanding, and genuine care. They helped arrange early check-in, worked with us so we could remain in the same room for our extended stay, and consistently checked in to make sure our needs were met. Traveling with our son and our dog, Kaia, could have been overwhelming — but instead, we felt welcomed and taken care of every step of the way. For anyone needing accessibility, this hotel is exceptionally ADA-friendly. The hallways, elevators, and layout are easy to navigate with wheeled walking aids, and the ADA tub-style room is thoughtfully designed with a very secure shower and bathroom area. The room itself is beautiful, spacious, and features large windows with stunning views. Even while recovering, we were able to enjoy some of the hotel’s offerings. The Aviator Bar serves fantastic signature cocktails — “Across the Universe” was our favorite. Pamela’s restaurant is truly outstanding; every dish we tried somehow outshined the last. My husband and son were also able to enjoy the heated outdoor pool, which my son happily reports stays around 85 degrees — warm enough to swim comfortably even when temperatures are below freezing outside. Our dog Kaia absolutely loves this hotel, and it is truly the epitome of dog-friendly. There is easy access to relief areas, the front desk offers homemade dog treats (which she adored), and she loved relaxing by the window watching the world go by. The rooms themselves are gorgeous and extremely comfortable. The bed and pillows are wonderful, the TV is very large with plenty of channels, and you can easily cast from your phone — a huge plus during a longer stay. Most importantly, every single staff member we encountered — from the front desk to the restaurants, café, and housekeeping — was exceptional. Their compassion, professionalism, and willingness to go above and beyond turned a very difficult situation into something far more manageable. We truly cannot recommend Hotel Polaris highly enough and will absolutely encourage any visiting family or friends to stay here in the future. This hotel didn’t just provide us a place to stay — it made a challenging time a million times better.
