True to Six Senses' philosophy of selecting remote yet accessible destinations in areas of outstanding natural beauty, Six Senses Con Dao enjoys a breathtaking setting in a protected national and marine park. The first five-star resort in Vietnam's archipelago islands, it is contemporary in design and reflects the essence of a traditional fishing village. For complete peace of mind, arriving guests can arrange their domestic round-trip flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Six Senses Con Dao by contacting the resort's reservations department.

If you want to get away from the world this is a good destination as there is little to do except walk on a great beach . There are no water related activities and everything is very expensive, especially wine and spa treatments. The cost of the snorkel trip I had hoped to do was exorbitant so I didn’t go. The nearby town of Con Dau has nothing to offer. The villas are beautifully set out along the beach but are in need of updating, especially the hard bed and also we didn’t like the fact that the shower is outside the villa. There is a large bath but no inside shower. Finally the lighting in the Villa is totally inadequate and quite gloomy. Apart from offering complimentary ice cream and a happy hour ‘2 for 1’ cocktail, everything is an extra. On the plus side the staff are lovely, especially our hostess, Julia and we should mention the lads at the Elephant Bar, especially Phu. Breakfast was excellent (thank you Nha) and meals at the 2 restaurants ( Vietnamese and Western) were on the whole very good ( thank you Suresh) which is just as well as there is nowhere to eat outside the hotel. Overall we had a lovely holiday ( six days) at the resort at the end of a long trip around Vietnam. However we don’t think this resort is 5 star as the standard of the Villas let it down.

We stayed at Six Senses Con Dao in October 2025 during our honeymoon, and it was everything we were hoping for. We loved this place: it offers real luxury without feeling like a generic, ‘could have been built anywhere’ resort. It actually fits Vietnam and its surroundings. The resort blends beautifully into the landscape. The setting, the atmosphere, the villas, the materials, sustainable thoughts, it makes all sense here. Everything was well organised and clearly of high quality. The villas are beautiful and full of local character, with lots of wood and natural materials, which gives them warmth and character. They don’t feel ultra-modern in a cold way, but instead special, calm, and thoughtfully designed. Service was excellent from the first contact until departure, from the manager to your private GEM. Hospitality in the way it should be: personal, attentive, but never too much. Was everything absolutely flawless? No, of course not, there where some (very) small things. But what mattered is that they were open to feedback and fixed things immediately, without discussion or excuses. That says more than pretending everything is perfect. Overall this is a great place to stay if you value peace, luxury, nature, privacy, and very good food and drinks. If you want to slow down and enjoy life, this is the place to be!

A paradisiacal place, perfect for resting and unwinding The spa is excellent, and the massages are outstanding — special mention to Sandeep for his exceptional treatment The only downside: very young children are allowed, which can affect the sense of tranquility, especially during breakfast and dinner. The cuisine is good overall, but it could be improved — it lacks depth of flavor, and there are too many options without much distinction.

Excellent facilities; amazing food; superb location - but the people are just the best. GEM Annie and the team were warm and friendly and impeccably professional. We have made friends, as well as being treated to 5+ star luxury in a little slice of paradise. Special shout out to Anh, Linh, Polly, Phuc, Sipang, Sandeep, Phu (Richy!), Diem, Vincent, Nha, our adventures guide for Elephant Mountain, and Chef Suresh as well many others who made our stay so wonderful.

They spoil you. Your own little cottage right on the bay. Clean and secluded beach. Great included breakfast. Several tours, although we had to sign a liability release for each-too many attorneys! The sand and hermit crabs were very busy working the beach. Loved it.
