Pre-dating the American Revolution, Concord's Colonial Inn is a tribute to the country's rich heritage. The main inn, originally built in 1716 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, serves as an anchor for an enclave of guest rooms, suites, apartments and private houses. You're in good company as you savor its gracious hospitality and comfortable Colonial style: A U.S President and even a ghost have made themselves at home at this Concord, Massachusetts, landmark.

A historic building reportedly haunted with many staircases and passages and corridors and additions (no, I didn’t get to see any ghosts). No elevator. No fridge in the room, which was superhot and stuffy upon arrival (why would one run A/C in November when one can simply open the windows?). No kettle, but one can go to the restaurant area and get hot water there at the coffee stand. The coffee was free, but since no milk was loaded into the machine, it would only dispense black coffee. No DND sign in the room. The shower stall is very small, and I am petite. Hard to find parking in the evening because many people come to eat at the Colonial Inn. Because of the many dining rooms, cooking and the small areas (room after room after room) inside the building, there is that heavy warm oily odor inside. Wifi was good.

Our room had bed bugs, so be sure to check the box spring if you choose to stay here. Service was decent except for the late night shift was not friendly at all.

Took my 90+ Mom for Thanksgiving dinner!! What a spread!! We are hardcore cooks, and fussy about what we get served when eating out, but honestly we didn't eat or taste one sub-par item on this menu! From the oysters to the turkey to the lamb to the delicious sides and the phenomenally displayed desserts, nothing could have been done better! And the staff was very very accommodating and sweet! Even though they were serving over 600 people for the afternoon seatings, the manager paused to give us a little mini tour and tell us some history! Will definitely be going back again and again. Loved it and all it's incredible history. I fantasized that I was seated at Thoreau's very own table there...

I called to reserve room 24 three months before we wanted to stay in October. I specifically told the gentleman over the phone we wanted room 24 and if we couldn’t get it for Halloween, we would take another weekend. I was told the room was available so I booked it. Upon arriving, after taking time off from work, we were told the room was not available as someone else booked it back in November and they wanted to honor that reservation. We were offered a different room or free lunch for our inconvenience.. thanks very little. We had to cancel all of our plans, and drive back home, in a different state. Do not trust these people. They do not care about their guests. I mean, why didn’t anyone call us before our trip to tell us about the error… we would have been fine, we could have rescheduled our plans and trip, but no one called. So, our whole trip was ruined. Do not stay here, you will get screwed!!
