Reviews for 71 Nyhavn Hotel

Excellent hotel choice for stay in Copenhagen, we will stay here again

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 19 hours ago

We had an excellent stay at 71 Nyhavn Hotel the 1st week of September 2025. We will choose this hotel again when our next opportunity to visit Copenhagen occurs. Mads and the rest of the front desk staff were very helpful and kind. Room was quiet and clean with a nice view of the canal. Bed was comfortable and fresh. Nice to be able to open the windows. Even though the hotel is in the heart of Nyhaven there were no issues with noise or crowds. Breakfast buffet was tasty and fresh, staff very nice and helpful. We recommend this hotel for your visit to Copenhagen!

Excellent hotel and location

As many others have stated, this is a great hotel. We are a family of 4 and booked a suite that consisted of 2 rooms with a joining hallway. It was perfect. The view of the street was wonderful. The staff were all very helpful and nice. We enjoyed the breakfast and never had issues finding a spot. All amenities provided were top notch. Great location for exploring Copenhagen. The only negative is that we did not stay here longer! We would love to come back someday.

A 5-star stay

We loved 71 Nyhavn Hotel. Everyone who works there goes out of their way to make sure your stay is comfortable. Our room was very comfortable and extremely clean. Breakfast was out of this world! The location is ideal. The outdoor food court across the walking bridge offers all sort of dining options. We were here for four nights and could have stayed four more.

Honest review

Nice people. Very helpful. Room is ridiculously impractical. Absolutely no place in toilet to hold/place anything. Think cosmetic bag, toothbrush, medicine bottles, etc. great location. Breakfast very nice in comfortable space. Would not stay there again.

Not as good as advertised . . . .

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

We spent a few nights at this hotel and mostly enjoyed the experience. It is a nice hotel in a city starved of high end lodging but is certainly not a high end experience. The hotel is located in a touristy area (could be a pro or con depending) and has lovely views. There is also an adjacent pier to a water "bus." The staff is fairly friendly and efficient. It does not feel like a big box hotel - a big plus. The main problem are the rooms, which are very small - the low-hanging wooden beams do not help -and felt dirty and not well maintained by the cleaning crew. Many of the rooms lack a walk-in shower. Overall, the rooms desperately need a refresh. Overall, given the high prices, I would probably not stay here again and the hotel is definitely not a high end experience (contrary to the many fawning reviews you read). If you get a deal, the location and efficient staff may make it worth your while.
