Reviews for 71 Nyhavn Hotel

City Highlight

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

Superbly located in the most atmospheric part of the city and within easy access to all attractions. An attractive building very well furnished and maintained with friendly, knowledgeable and efficient staff. Our executive room overlooking the canal was just about the right size, comfortable bed, quality amenities, contemporary shower room, all impeccably clean. The choice at breakfast is varied, high quality local options and a variety of drinks. At busy times it gets quite crowded, the tables are close to each other and it detracts a little from the overall dining experience. All things considered we would happily return and highly recommend 71 Nyhavn as an excellent base in this fascinating city.

Nyhavn hotel stay April 2025

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Just back from a lovely week stay here. We really loved the hotel- the room and bathroom were very luxurious, bed very comfy. The rooms have been renovated to an extremely high standard. Staff very professional and helpful. Breakfast was great and with very high quality ingredients. The location is perfect because although it’s on Nyhavn canal, it’s past the really busy area. It’s lovely to sit outside watching the world go by. There are some very high quality restaurants nearby too. It’s also very easy to get to the nearest Metro on foot.

This hotel saved our vacation

This hotel saved our vacation. We originally booked a local apartment in the Nyhavn area, thinking we would get a more local feel than staying at a hotel, but the apartment was a disaster. Thankfully we found this hotel, and with no reservation and at the last minute we were so happy they had a room available for the last 7 nights of our trip. This place was exactly the local feel that we were looking for. It is a charming, cozy, and comfortable hotel with superb service. The hotel is located at the end of the canal, at the waterfront, in the Nyhavn area. It is close to public transportation, with the closest metro station within easy walking distance, and the water taxi stop is directly in front of the hotel. The area is a popular tourist area with many restaurants and is busy during the afternoons. It is quiet in the mornings and at night at the end of the canal where the hotel is located. Even when it was busy, the windows are thick and we never really heard any outside noise. It is centrally located to many local attractions, with Rosenborg castle, Amalienborg palace, and great food options within walking distance. The breakfast was also fantastic. We ate at a few other places for breakfast and none of them were as good as the hotel. They had enough variety that even though we were there for 7 nights we didn’t get bored of the food. We had to leave for our flight before breakfast started on the last day and they put out coffee and food in the lobby to take with us, which was extremely nice. Our room was so comfortable and immaculately cleaned every day. Every employee was personable and professional. I can’t say enough good things about the time we spent here. If we make it back to Copenhagen someday I wouldn’t even consider staying anywhere but here. Some tips that helped us, in case it can help someone else: -They do have laundry service, and it is fairly reasonably priced and quick. - The "Shampoo" in the shower is both a shampoo and a body wash, although it is written in smaller print. When we first arrived we thought we were missing soap for the shower, but that was it. - The bed is very comfortable, but they also have a card in the room that you can scan to request alternate pillows from the pillow menu. Including a large body pillow.

The hotel is very well located. The view from the room on canal side is great and very quiet. The bed is comfortable, the bathroom is clean and as per pictures. The breakfast is amazing, choices for everyone, vegan, lactose free, great chef who cooks eggs. Bike rental was very simple at the hotel directly.

We stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel is really perfect located and well maintend. The crew was really friendly and helpfull. The included breakfast was great with a nice selection of local products. The breakfastroom seemed slightly to small for all the guests. The room was clean but small. Overall it‘s an expensive city and the price was totally okay.
