You can’t find a better location. The hotel is cute, nicely kept, Swedish Carpe Diem beds and Danish design such as Arne Jacobsen Grand Prix chairs in the room and Wegner chairs in the restaurant. Friendly staff throughout, great breakfast, and a lovely stay overall. A room facing the water next time, woke up around 6am from trucks onnthe street outside.

We enjoyed our stay with 71 Nyhavn Hotel. Location of the hotel is very convenient and many attractions are within the walking distance. Staff are very friendly and overall quality of the hotel is excellent. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone visiting Copenhagen.

Fantastic hotel, stayed for my wife's 40th birthday and they went out of their way to make the stay special, the custom pancakes on her birthday that we hadn't even requested were particularly nice and made her birthday morning special. Staff are all friendly and go out of their way to meet your needs.

Lovely hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. Be aware that there are beams which could be a problem if you are tall - or don't look where you are going! I had one right in front of my side of the bed, which meant getting up in the night had to be done very carefully! But it is the nature of the building, and part of it's charm. A kettle rather than a very smart coffee macfhine would have been more useful in the room, but that is a minor complaint. The restaurant (for breakfast) is quite small and a bit claustrophobic as it is a semi basement, but the buffet was fairly good and omelettes etc., could be ordered. A word to the person who thought it was a good idea to get the handrails leading to the restaurant painted during the breakfast rush -what were you thinking? I was by no means the only person who ended up with black paint all over my hands (yes there were signs stuck to the walls, but who's looking at the walls as they climb upstairs?). Luckily it did wash straight off, and a member of staff gave me a handwipe, but I suspect wouldn't have been easy to remove from clothing. In all a good hotel in one of the main tourist areas in Copenhagen, so quite busy during the day, but all the cafes and restaurants along the canal were pretty much closed by 9.30, so not as noisy as you may expect. Of course that may be later in the Summer I guess. It is worth mentioning that if you are walking from the Central Station with luggage, the whole of Nyhavn is cobbled, so not the easiest walk. Probably better to do a slightly longer route round the back road. We decided to get a taxi on the return trip. Last note - The rhubarb lemonade on the reception desk was delicious, specially after a long day sight-seeing.
