Great hotel in an excellent location

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

Hotel is 2 blocks from the Metro station which will take you directly to the airport or into central historic Copenhagen. It is approximately a 15 walk into the Historic part of Copenhagen. Less to to get to the WWII Museum, the National Library and the Opera House. The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood with a good selection of restaurants and coffee shops. Hotel itself is quiet, with large rooms, very comfortable bedding. Staff is very helpful.

Excellent Hotel in the heart of Copenhagen

I really could not fault this hotel - everything about it passed with flying colours - the location is excellent just across the river from the main city - immediately on entering you can feel the welcoming ambience through the tasteful interiors and all of the staff we encountered were fabulous , friendly and professional. our room and the restaurant/bar were all great too. we would definitely return.

Mixed experience at this hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

The location is great for visitors you can walk to Christiana in ten minutes, and other major sites like the water area, opera house, etc. The check in and out can be a hassle if cruise ships are arriving they have a dedicated area for them but the lobby becomes packed as do the help at the front for other things. Our worst experience was the lobby restaurant we sat for over 45 minutes waiting on simple food and for a waiter to come, it was just insane they were understaffed or too spread out but even a manger couldn't get things right to help at a certain point so much of our time was wasted. The room was good with a pretty view of the water and churches but they forgot to refill coffee pods with caffeine each day with strong jet lag this was not great! The conceirge staff and bar staff from lobby bar were terrific and made up for other issues. So i would say it's mixed with great staff and some issues that should be fixable with attention. There is a terrific coffee/pastry place very close by and some really cute clothes and jewerly stores all walkable going left out of the hotel then right on the main street.

Decent hotel, but I would stay somewhere else

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

The hotel was nice and it was decent for the price, but I would have preferred to be in The thick of everything. There’s about a 15 minute walk to get to the Maine tourist areas. That required Several cab Uber expenses, as I was traveling with older parents that could not walk. The hotel did not have any entertainment or options in the evening, so it almost required us to leave if we wanted to take advantage. Their breakfast buffet is excellent, but the Lunch and dinner options were not that great. The decor was beautiful for Christmas. The lobby seating is not very expensive, so if you’re not down in the lobby early enough, you won’t like we have anywhere to sit. Overall, I would have preferred to stay at Villa or Hotel D’Angleterre
