Reviews for Villa Copenhagen

Fantastic location, heated pool, sauna

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

Outstanding hotel - location, room, amenities, and staff reviews follow. * Outstanding location - 5 minutes walk to the Copenhagen Central Train station and across the street from the Tivoli amusement park and gardens and Food Hall (accessible without park entry). The hotel is walking distance to major sights, shopping, and restaurants. 5 minutes walk to the Copenhagen Central Train station which we took to the airport plus arrived from Stockholm, Sweden. Villa Copenhagen is across the street from the Tivoli amusement park and gardens and Food Hall (accessible without park entry). There is a two story Lego store near the Tivoli entrance where you can make your personalized Lego figurine. The hotel is in walking distance major sights, shopping, and restaurants including Nyhavn, the Royal Palaces, National Museum of Denmark, the Marble Church. The Little Mermaid statue and Kastellet Fort was more of a 45 minute walk. * Room - Comfortable bed with windows that opened a few inches. Temperature was comfortable. Coffee maker in the room. A nightlight came on under the sink as you entered the bathroom. There were two bathrobes but no slippers. There was a small gap at the bottom of the shower door, so potentially a lot of the water could escape across the floor if you didn't have your shower head pointed down and away from the door even so I did a little drying with the bath mat towel after each shower. I loved the Skandinavisk Skog smell hand wash and lotion. It smelled like pine forests and made my skin and even feet so soft. As an American Express Fine hotel gift, they have us a carry-on suitcase approved size of the hand lotion that I was thrilled to receive to continue my happy memories back home. Best gift ever! I think we got an upgraded room since it had a great view of the pool plus Tivoli Gardens. * Amenities - The heated pool was comfortable in 50 degree weather and sauna was nice. There were lockers and a few places to hang your towel. There was an outside bar by the pool and plenty of pool towels available. - The hotel lobby is stunning with the glass ceiling to let in light during the day and was an inviting place to sit at all hours and have a cocktail. - We went to the Rug restaurant and had a spanakopita roll and a good pizza. - Very good buffet - Breakfast buffet had made to order eggs and omelets, fruit, fresh juices including a nice tasting green juice plus a juice shot as you entered. Make your own cappuccino or coffee machine. Freshly made pastries and rolls. I made a sandwich with the meat and cheeses and greatly appreciated the fresh lettuce, cucumbers, and carrots for the sandwich and because I did not see many vegetables in our dinners in Denmark. * Staff - Staff at the Rug restaurant and bar were all friendly and professional. - Check-in had two front desk receptionists plus self service kiosks to the right. We were told to use the kiosks and later came back to ask about the American Express Fine Hotel breakfast and $100 credit. Later asking train and airport questions of the front desk, he was patient and helpful. We had a great stay at Villa Copenhagen and would definitely stay here again when we were in Copenhagen.

Cozy boutique hotel in CPH

Stayed at Villa CPH for 3 nights with my husband. I was impressed with the location from the train station, it is located by Tivoli and the train station and walking towards the old town and Nyhavn is about 20-30 minutes. You can rent bikes for a cost. My favorite things about the hotel were the amenities, the rooftop pool and sauna were a nice perk though a bit too chilly to utilize, I can’t imagine how busy it is during the summer. We also liked the breakfast - probably one of the better breakfast buffets we have had in our travels. The hotel lobby bar was a blast at night but we did experience slow service. We used the laundry services and found it to be extremely pricey so would recommend to avoid if you can. I am a TA and an upgrade was not extended despite showing availability. Rooms are VERY small. Smallest of the small for a European guest room. If you are looking for a large spacious room I highly recommend the suites or the superior king plus or family room.

Absolutely great service, decor and breakfast! the hotel's DJ and cocktails are a wonderful addition. The pool is lovely in the mornings and we will come here again. The café also offers its own delights in connection with the hotel Good location. And strong recommendation.

Wonderful lap pool

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

This is a great 5 star hotel. Everything was wonderful . The not bad thing I can say is that the standard rooms are Paris size but they are beautiful and well decorated . Everything is modern and well maintained and the service is excellent. All staff are friendly and attentive. We had some problems with our room but the were properly and satisfactorily addressed by staff. The outdoor lap pool was warm and spotless despite the cold temperatures. It was the high point of my stay. If you like a morning swim this is your place in Copenhagen. Breakfast was good and plentiful
