Reviews for Villa Copenhagen

A must stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Outstanding location - 2 minute walk to the train station; 2 minute walk to Tivoli Gardens; close to the heart of downtown and surrounding areas; couldn't be a better location Friendly staff - the front desk girl who checked us in gave us multiple recommendations for restaurants and bars to explore, all were amazing; she also walked through the itinerary I prepared and provided feedback Beautiful decor - loved the glass ceiling and chic courtyard lobby area; DJ almost every evening sets the mood I'd recommend this hotel to anyone staying Copenhagen!

A dream of a stay when in Copenhagen

An excellent hotel in every aspect. From the service, the location, the food, the cleanliness, the connections to the city's heart and the fantastic feel-good oasis right above the roofs of Europe's most liveable city, everything here is impeccable!

Beautiful, memorable hotel experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

We loved everything about this hotel. The room: High ceilings, blackout curtains that worked very well, a brilliant little motion-activated nightlight that discreetly switched on in the bathroom just enough to light the way without lighting up the whole room, a wall-mounted speaker that connected via Bluetooth so we could listen to music (_loved_this!), robes, comfortable soft bed and pillows, and posh bathroom. Note, the room and bathroom were on the smaller side, especially by American standards, but we don't care about that. The quality of the finishes was top-notch and that's the important thing. Staff were wonderful, friendly, and helpful. The bakery next door (connected to lobby), Rug, was absolutely divine. We ate there once when we overslept the hotel breakfast (whoops) and regret not getting the chance to go again. They serve food in addition to pastry. On that note, the hotel breakfast in the spacious basement was also excellent. Pastries from the bakery, omelets to order, veggies, fruit, yogurt, and so forth. We also loved the lobby, with the atrium ceiling, comfy couches and tables, and welcoming bar, it was a comfortable and unpretentious place to relax. We sincerely hope we will return to Copenhagen again so that we can stay at Villa Copenhagen.

Great hotel!

I loved staying at the Villa Copenhagen. The location is amazing; centrally located and makes it easy to get around either walking or by train. The pool is very nice if weather allows it and there's nice gathering & lounging spaces in the lobby area. My room was a great size & very comfortable. Breakfast is amazing and being attached to Rug Bakery was also amazing - the food is a very big perk!

A Historic Gem in the City Center

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Hotel Villa Copenhagen – A Historic Gem in the City Center Hotel Villa Copenhagen is housed in a magnificent historical building in the heart of the city – formerly the central post office. The grandeur and heritage of the place are immediately felt upon arrival, making it a unique and memorable destination. Throughout the hotel, you’ll find preserved elements and photographs that tell the story of its past, including areas once used for mail sorting and distribution to regions across Denmark. One of these preserved areas now hosts a charming restaurant, primarily used for breakfast, adding character to the dining experience. One of the hotel’s highlights is the heated rooftop pool, complete with a bar and sun loungers. Swimming in warm water while overlooking the rooftops of central Copenhagen – especially during colder months – is a truly special experience. Below, the courtyard has been transformed into a lively bar area with a covered section and music provided by a live DJ, adding a vibrant and modern touch. The corridors and rooms respect the building’s historic roots while offering contemporary comfort. Check-in is seamless and efficient, handled right in the hotel lobby.
