Nice for Overnighting in Miami Area…

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

My wife and I stayed here overnight as we were in transit to Latín America and, eventually, Antarctica. The hotel was fine, within walking distance of the Miracle Mile and what it has to offer. The room itself was four-star. Clean, sizable, good skyline view, but nothing memorable. Bed was comfortable and it was quiet. A fine night’s sleep before a long flight the next day. It included breakfast, which was not a buffet and allowed reasonable amount of ordering off a menu, but service was slow.

Iffy at best

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

This is a nice property in need of a face lift. It is pricy but guess you expect that from a Hyatt. I am accustomed to staying at 5 star places so think I’ve a pretty good expectation level without being nit picky. But what’s unacceptable is their WiFi that mostly doesn’t work and in the rare occasions it does it’s very very slow. If you need to mix business with pleasure or even book an air ticket don’t come here. Additionally the temp in the public spaces has to be mid sixties. It’s cold. So cold the bartender wears a jacket. Speaking of which a Bud beer is about $13 with tax and tip. Probably why very few people are in there. This is rated a 4 star but would question that. If management reads this maybe turn the ac to 72 and take the savings and improve the WiFi.

Wonderful in every way great stay over before a cruise

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 months ago

I would give this hotel 10 stars if I could . We normally are loyal to the Ritz Carlton and Four Seasons chains. That said this hotel was as good if not better then those. From the moment you drive up the service is impeccable from valet to dinning to the front desk and pool staff. This is a great place especially if your leaving on a cruise from Miami. Rooms and hotel are sleek and modern . Lobby is beautiful and the pool area is lovely. The staff and food at its resturant was the icing on the cake. Room 921 has a great balcony to boot and is pool level Kudos to all job well done! Well done by all Seth W and randy S

Only wish we had found it sooner!

First time to stay at this location and am only sorry we did not find it sooner. We felt welcomed by everyone from the valet, front desk, staff in the restaurant, housekeeping to everyone wearing a uniform. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were clean. Extra wide hallways help with the noise. Two sets of elevators helped avoid congestion or long rides up or down. And the location cannot be beat to the shops and restaurants on Miracle Mile and only 10 minute drive to Univ. of Miami.

Not suitable for business travel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 months ago

The hotel itself looks nice. Smells nice. Rooms are nice. However, when you are at a place for a business trip you really want a few things. A clean and nice room, restaurant that does good food and is fast, and wifi that works. I can't fault the rooms. Nice and spacious. An actual shower (not an awful shower/bath combo). Comfy bed. Their restaurant needs a lot of work. Their charred ribs are not at all charred, coated in sauce, and full of gristle. These are no fall off the bones ribs. Ick. Then after than, I waited nearly an hour for a mushroom pasta. So much so, that they brought me a free drink after I asked for the check mid-wait bc I was so annoyed with the wait. The server did his best to make it right by also comp'ing the ribs. Nice gesture, but not the best kitchen. Next issue is the wifi. This seems to be a common issue with Loews hotels from what I have read with others online, and now I've experienced it first hand. It's utterly unusable. I literally couldn't do a thing on it - had to tether my phone instead. This is the first time I've ever stayed at a Loews. And after this experience, the last.
