Hayfield Manor

This hotel is a real 5 Star. The location is perfect the staff are sensational and the setting is perfect. I have stayed here several times and love this hotel. If your traveling to Cork or just passing through this is a must do for the seasoned Trippers. Food is excellent both restaurants are sensational. Tip Fablous Our door bar and nibbles in the garden. Enjoy this real 5 Star luxury Hotel steeped in family history. Welldone to the Management team outstanding!!

I stayed in Hayfield Manor Hotel as a guest of University College Cork, where I was working for a few days. The hotel is an imposing country house hotel at the top of a hill, set in expansive grounds. The hotel has an olde worlde charm, from the large entrance hall to the log fire in the bar. The bedrooms are large, comfortable and quiet. The bathroom had a huge tub and a rainfall head shower. The room had a desk and chair, as well as two large armchairs, plus a heat pump/A/C unit to complement the central heating. The free wifi was fast enough to stream movies. Compared to modern international hotels, it lacks some standard features, notably a fridge. There was no iron and ironing board, but one was delivered quickly. The staff were friendly and professional, and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast is excellent - a large Continental selection and hot food and coffee cooked to order. Similarly, the main Perrot restaurant is fabulous. I can recommend the steak, which I had twice. It was cooked to perfection. The adjacent bar is cosy and welcoming and a great place to pass the time in, whether alone or with friends. The hotel is very close to UCC and the surrounding area is mainly small terraced houses, now student accommodation, which presumably sprang up in the decades since Hayfield Manor was first built in the early 1880s. There is a Centra supermarket around the corner, which is handy for anything you forgot to pack. Very highly recommended.

An absolute superb treasure of a place. Outstanding service. The most professional approach, yet, a bit of banter too, which is, I believe, well needed, at this date and age. Exquisite food!!! Rooms well attended to. I love this place, personally. I would highly recommend to any seasoned traveller, who can appreciate the finest things in life. I cannot wait to return back to this gem of a place, for the 7th time. X

Beautifully decorated very roomie lots of amenities five star plus all the way. Food was delicious and the staff so attentive. Can’t wait to return.
