The plus points. ….Great location - walkable to city but set back in quiet surrounds. Also can’t fault the hotel or rooms - all lovely. The Bloom garden cocktail bar is fab! And the main bar is also well run. What took away from our stay?? Hotel room above main entrance meant we were woken up early hours by departing tours… maybe put them in that room!! And a disappointing meal in Orchids. Slow / poor service and meal served cold. When we asked for our meat to be heated this was done… but by this time all accompaniments were cold with no thought to replace. Lovely bottle of wine and friendly Sommelier were appreciated but didn’t compensate for the rest….. No one asked at checkout how our stay was but hopefully this serves as feedback. To sum it up… if you get a special offer… maybe try it. But at full summer time rates it doesn’t meet the mark.

Just back from a two night stay and honestly Hayfield is one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed in. We took our Mum there for a special anniversary and Hayfield certainly lived up to its outstanding reputation. The room was fabulous, the food was excellent and the general ambience was lovely . There are really high standards here across the board and yet it never feels overly formal or stuffy; the staff are so polite, helpful and attentive but also warm, chatty and fun. They are never too busy for a chat and despite you knowing that it takes hard work to achieve this level of hospitatility it genuinely seems everyone on the staff is committed to their jobs and takes the customer experience very seriously. That can be a hard balance to strike. It's a special place, thanks for memories. We hope to be back! Catherine & family

A 15 minute cab ride from Cork airport and an easy walk into the center of Cork for shopping, pubs and a variety of food choices. Hayfield Manor Hotel was a comfortable accommodation for our two night stay in the area. The hotel is as stately on the outside as you'd expect from the photos. (The inside could use a bit of a refresh in parts, but it's still a nice antique manor.) The staff was kind and accommodating. The food was good (we loved their Superfood Salad and ordered it often).

Friendly staff. Lovely rooms and comfortable beds. Great breakfast. It is about a 20 minute walk into the centre or a short taxi ride. About half an hour drive to the coast.
