Unmatched Hospitality and Timeless Charm

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 12 hours ago

Hayfield Manor made our stay unforgettable. The rooms and grounds were beautiful, and the staff’s hospitality stood out as the best we experienced in Ireland. We stayed at several 4- and 5-star hotels, but this one was clearly the standout. We booked through Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts, and Hayfield Manor was the only property on our trip that actually delivered an upgrade—moving us to the Shandon Suite. The suite was spotless, spacious, and comfortable, with excellent turndown service and working air conditioning (a rare find in Ireland). As honeymooners, we were made to feel truly special with thoughtful touches throughout our stay. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, and the hotel balanced historic charm with modern comforts seamlessly. The location is slightly outside the city center but still walkable and in a lovely part of town. I highly recommend Hayfield Manor to anyone looking for a memorable, five-star experience in Cork.

Beautiful hotel, exceptional service!

What do you get when you cross a beautiful hotel with great restaurants and spa and the best of Irish hospitality? You get Hayfield Manor! I arrived in Cork very jet lagged, but two days later I feel like a new person. From the driver who picked me up at the airport (Maurice) to Ellie who printed out the recipe for the stout bread, to Fiona at the spa desk, every single person I encountered seemed to care about how everything was and if there was anything else they could do for me. I’m a single woman who has to care of everything in my regular life, so it’s wonderful to be taken care of. I felt taken care of every minute I was at Hayfield Manor. I had three wonderful spa treatments. I had tea that came with so much food I had to have them box up the desserts for me. They have an extensive wine list, so I was looking through it, and someone noticed this and sent the sommelier over to my table to see if I needed help choosing a wine. Thank you so much for all your hospitality. It is very much appreciated.

Class Service! *****

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

We recently had a brilliant lunch experience in the Hayfield Manor. From the moment we arrived the service from John the bar manager and his team was top class. The food was excellent but what distinguishes the Hayfield from other five star hotels we have experienced is the friendliness of this bar manager and his staff. They create a great unprententious warm welcoming atmosphere. We could not recommend the Hayfield Manor Hotel enough and would definitely return. A real gem in Cork City. Well done to everyone!! Cork Perfection

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

Hayfield Manor in Cork is the definition of classic European five-star hospitality. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was warm, personal, and absolutely seamless — valet and house staff set the tone with true professionalism and kindness. A special thank you to John, the bar manager, who went out of his way to make us feel at home. He always stopped to greet us, offered thoughtful recommendations, and poured the perfect pint or glass of wine. We also want to recognize Alessandro, a young gentleman from South Africa whose father is the hotel’s pastry chef. His enthusiasm and pride are contagious, and you absolutely must try one of his father’s desserts — the recipe came directly from South Africa and it’s unforgettable. The food throughout the property is exceptional, and the location couldn’t be more perfect — close enough to enjoy Cork city yet tucked away in peaceful surroundings. If you enjoy the timeless elegance of Europe’s great hotels, Hayfield Manor is a must-visit in Cork. We can’t wait to return.

Stayed for my 50th. It was magnificent. Loved the cocktail bar and the food was immaculate. Staff were kind and rooms beautifully done. Expensive but worth every penny.
