Very nice hotel. Excellent staff. Rooms very well appointed. Food is a gamble. Food was hit & miss. I wouldn't recommend the Orchid restaurant, fish was over cooked dry and tough, potato cake was dehydrated to the point it was inedible. Waiter was nice, came back and said chef thought it was not right - so why send it out? It was as if it had been cooked, rested then reheated. I wouldn't eat here again. Next morning for breakfast poached eggs were hard all the way through and sauce coagulated, again as if it had been cooked and left too long under a heater, even my ten year old can poach an egg. Bistro was grand, same menu as orchid so not sure why you would go to orchid. Bloom is very nice outside for food and a drink. Id recommend and return to the hotel, but I'd not recommend eating there. Noel & Pablo were particularly helpful.

We were here twice in April so far for my moms 95th small celebrations. On both occasions the staff couldn't have been nicer they made such a fush of her and it made her day. The food as always was delicious. Both visits the meal was excellent. Well done to everyone.

Stayed here with my son over Easter. We enjoyed very short walks to UCC, to the Lough to feed the ducks and to the beautiful Fitzgerald park playground. Great location near city centre also. Our room was beautiful and all staff were most helpful. We relaxed playing chess in the library. The only negative is the bottled water in the bistro was very expensive and this was not conveyed to us. Otherwise a wonderful stay, we will be back.

We stayed for New Years and had a wonderful experience, enjoying the hospitality, food and Spa experience. We decided to try Easter to see does lightning hit twice....absolutely , yes it can, a wonderful family experience across all areas of the hotel again, from the second we landed, the beautiful greeting, the wonderful meal in Orchids, fantastic Spa experience , and lunch in Perrotts. We will be returning again as soon as we can.
