The River Lee

It had been many 10 years since we were here . We got a terrible room back then & decided not to chance a repeat experience . We were not disappointed this time . It is good that you can choose a river view room now . The room was lovely . The staff are warm , friendly & professional . There was a lovely atmosphere on the terrace . It is a short walk to the Paradiso restaurant .

Enjoyed an awesome experience! Hotel accommodations were outstanding and staff was extremely helpful and kind. Especially like to acknowledge our server Anne who we had both for lunch and breakfast. She was very knowledgeable of hotel facilities and made excellent recommendations for places to visit in Cork. She was very pleasant and friendly and made us feel like family! We will definitely be staying at the River Lee upon our return!

We can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. The location is superb, the cuisine is excellent, and the entire infrastructure leaves nothing to be desired. The exceptional hospitality of the entire team deserves special mention; we always felt warmly welcomed and perfectly cared for. A big thank you also to Costa, who gave us a lovely welcome at breakfast every morning :-) We would love to come back again!

We have stayed at the River Lee many times over past years and time after time our expectations are met and often exceeded. Vital ingredients in the hotel's success are the hotel personnel. From arrival to departure at every level we feel welcome as individuals with a personal service that is often hard to find in large hotels. The attention to detail throughout the hotel is remarkable and the focus on making our visits as enjoyable as possible is greatly appreciated. During our times at the River Lee we have spoken to other residents who feel the same as we do and when you mention the hotel outside it is clear it enjoys a high reputation. The hotel is an ideal base for exploring Cork and its environs. West Cork offers a unique insight into the culture of Ireland and its people and is reputed to be Ireland’s premier culinary destination, We often centre our visits on events like the Cork Midsummer Festival and Bantry's music and literary festivals and also enjoy visits to the many local attractions. Needless to say we are looking forward to our next visit.
