The River Lee

We had a family lunch today at the River Cafe and whilst the food was really excellent, it was the service that absolutely wowed us. Emma was the manager and was so kind to our daughter, whose birthday we were celebrating. And hats off to our waiter, Raymond - he was the absolute best, combining super hospitality with a great sense of humour. If any of the hotel management are reading this, you have two wonderful ambassadors for your business in Emma and Raymond. Thank you.

We have just returned from a 3 night visit to The River Lee hotel in Cork. It is a beautiful hotel and it is immaculate. Staff were lovely and very attentive. The pool is great and the breakfasts were amazing. Loved our stay. Thanks to all.

We had such a lovely stay from start to finish. We stayed in one of the suites and it was honestly beautiful, incredibly spacious, comfortable and with gorgeous views over the River Lee. The suite had a large separate living area and two bathrooms, which was incredibly handy as I was staying with a friend and meant we both had our own space and privacy. What really stood out, though, was the attention to detail. The room had so many thoughtful amenities, from a full ironing station to a Dyson hairdryer, as well as a fantastic minibar area with everything you could need to make a proper coffee in the morning or enjoy a drink in the evening. The bathroom was also gorgeous and the shower pressure was amazing, something I really appreciate having thick hair! The bed and pillows were unbelievably comfortable and the room was incredibly peaceful. I had one of the best nights’ sleep I’ve had in a hotel in a long time. We also had dinner at the restaurant and really enjoyed it. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was lovely, making it the perfect way to finish the evening. From the warm welcome at reception to all the little details in the suite, everything felt very well thought out. It’s those small touches that really make the difference and turn a hotel stay into a genuinely special experience. I would absolutely stay again!

The care we received and the exceptional attention to detail from every member of staff truly stood out. I have stayed at The River Lee many times over the years and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The food is delicious, the breakfasts are fantastic, and the welcome at reception is always warm and homely. The rooms have always been beautiful, and they have now been newly refurbished, making an already wonderful hotel even better. The location is perfect too. It is ideal for shopping, dining and entertainment, with everything you need close by. Thank you to everyone at The River Lee for another fantastic stay. I look forward to returning again soon!
