Shore House at The Del

We want to give a shout to the valets at Shore House. Jason and Nick went out of their way to be friendly and professional! They started out our vacation perfectly.

The property was absolutely amazing. Truly a slice of paradise. Big shout out to Wyatt and team. They were all very engaging and personable. Always offering to help in any way they could. Really nice way to be greeted after day trips off property. Don't recall specific TM's names but the service provided around the pool was good as well. Really ensured our needs we being met. Some of the front desk staff could have been more engaging. On occasion they seemed indifferent when interacting with them. Asked for maintenance to come to room to help with Bluetooth speakers. After two hours of waiting updated the front desk saying we were heading out. The team member apologized but felt disingenuous. Understanding they weren't the original person I spoke to.

We had the best time! The breakfast was great and had an omelet station. All of the staff were exemplary. I have to give a shout out to Abukar, he made such an effort to elevate our ex.

We had high hopes for the shore house after reading the reviews and it was such a disappointing experience. The only redeeming quality is that the balconies are great and the view is beautiful, but save your money for a true luxury stay elsewhere. We felt so bad for the staff- there was only one person at check in all day and every time we needed help the desk was completely empty (see photos). We requested 2 cribs before arrival by email and text and they confirmed and we still only had 1. Our outdoor fireplace didn’t work- we asked them to repair it during the day because our girls were sleeping and they forgot. After reminding them again, they fixed it immediately. We had to ask 3 times for a new crib sheet. The valet guy was stuck working all alone with no help. A hotel does not count as luxury if you have to consistently ask for the same things over and over. Breakfast was underwhelming and the tables were all dirty when we arrived. No one covered the cushions so they were all soaked. The towels at the pool are comically small and rough. All these small annoyances added up to being a frustrating stay and no where near a luxury service experience after just coming from a far superior hotel in Laguna. Thank goodness the views and property are beautiful. If it was a condo or Airbnb, we would’ve been thrilled and the community vibe is great if you are meeting other families.

We were here for a work event. The day was good and the service we got from Jason W at the Shore House was great. He helped us with our car and took some photos as we were a family and he could see we were taking selfies. He was very helpful and attentive.
