Reviews for Muckross Park Hotel & Spa

Great staff and great location

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 7 hours ago

Check-in went smoothly and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We had booked an apartment and the apartment buildings do not have an elevator. The bellman gave us directions to the apartment and said he would be over to carry the bags up the stairs. Somehow he beat us to the building and then carried all 4 suitcases up the stairs. The morning of checkout we decided we wanted to do a Jaunting car ride through the National Park. I called the front desk in 25 minutes the jaunting car was in the hotel parking lot to pick us up.

Beautifully appointed hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

This is a beautifully maintained well appointed hotel. The rooms are comfortable, nicely decorated with fabulous beds. The breakfast is very good and the room it is served in is beautiful. The spa is lovely with pool, steam room, heated beds and outside and inside hot tubs. As guests we were allocated one hour per day which was plenty of time to enjoy the amenities. We stayed on a Friday and Saturday night and there was a wedding held in the hotel on both nights. If you are staying on a weekend you may experience some issues with congestion from the weddings. If that happens you should speak with the concierge who will assist you with parking. The duty manager can assist you with any other issues you might have.

Relaxing, indulgent stay in a warm and natural environment.

We had an amazing stay at the Muckross Park hotel. We were greeted with the warmest welcome at reception and it was a lovely relaxing atmosphere. Our room was simply spectacular with seperate living space and and outdoor balcony to enjoy a coffee and take in the natural surroundings. The Spa is quite tranquil and we really enjoyed an early trip to the outdoor hot tub! We had an exquisite dining experience in the Yew Tree restaurant where Lucian took great care of us and gave us excellent advice on pairing wines with our meal. The hotels greatest asset is its staff, they are simply wonderfully warm and accommodating. We will definitely be back in the future this gem of a spot.

My wife and I just returned from a 4-night stay at Muckross Park Hotel & Cloister Spa. This 5-star hotel lived up to its rating in every regard. The suite we stayed in was just beautiful and with the extra sitting area above the entrance, my wife commented that she felt like a princess. The Cloister Spa was exceptional and we enjoyed the service there on several days. All of the international staff - from the doormen, front desk to wait staff - were pleasant and helpful to any issue. We ate dinner at Blue Pool and Molly Darcys pub - 2 of 3 on-site resturants. The staff at the was especially helpful with the wine selection as we celebrated our anniversary one evening. The food was absolutely delicious at both places. The hotel is right across the street from walking paths, jaunting carts, and the Muckross House in Killarney National Park. All in all, we absolutely recommend this hotel and would stay there again in a heartbeat.
