Elounda Mare Hotel

We had our wedding at Elounda Mare Hotel and it was truly the most incredible experience of our lives. From the moment we arrived, everything felt warm, welcoming, and completely effortless. We stayed for a full week and it honestly felt like home. The staff treated us like family in every possible way, always going above and beyond without hesitation. The hospitality was on another level - genuine, attentive, and full of care. A special thank you to Dimitra, the wedding coordinator, who was absolutely amazing throughout the entire process. She made everything seamless, stress-free, and perfect in every detail. Our wedding day was everything we dreamed of and more. The breakfast was exceptional every morning, the drinks were beautifully made, and the amenities were outstanding. Every part of the hotel experience reflected quality, comfort, and heart. It truly is the best place I’ve ever been. Perfect wedding, perfect stay, perfect people. We couldn’t have asked for anything more.

Visited for my brothers wedding all friends and family stayed at Elunda Mare, the most hospitable and kind staff of any high end resort I have ever stayed at! resort has amazing breakfast with MANY great options to choose from! Everything is very well maintained housekeeping does a top tier job with cleaning and restocking everything, all guest services are top tier they don’t just treat you as a guest but they make everyone feel like family you feel welcome never once did we feel like the staff was burdened by our presence like at other resorts, iiona is the best guest relations manager helpful with booking spa and wellness clinic visits along with making every other service that was needed happen quickly and efficiently everyone from concierge, bar tender George, and many many others have made this experience a memory that will last a lifetime time I will definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this resort specially to anyone especially complete strangers, the sunbathing and ocean swimming locations are beautiful crystal clear water the traditional Greek vibes, great well maintained land scape and close to a lot of great Greek restaurants in town

This is an absolute Gem! From the moment we arrived we felt welcome. The staff are professional, calm, and so very helpful. Our bungalow with a private pool was superb with every facility we could need. The view was excellent, bungalow spacious and spotlessly clean. The hotel exudes an atmosphere of calm but efficient serenity. We had such a relaxing and enjoyable stay. As a couple we very much appreciated the calmness. The Private Beach area was never overcrowded, and there were always plenty of available loungers and parasols for us to sit and gaze out at the sea view. The breakfast was fantastic with an extensive choice. The on-site restaurants served delicious and high-quality food, but it did feel quite expensive. A 12 Euro Taxi ride into Elounda gave you a huge choice of restaurants instead should you wish to look further afield. Without over-doing the superlatives, suffice to say, if you are ever in Crete – you should not miss this hotel. It is one of the nicest we have stayed in anywhere in the world. We would love to return.

We have been coming to the Elounda Mare for years now and would not even consider to try another hotel resort when in Crete. Coming back every time feels like coming home. The warm, personal, guest oriented service and love to detail here is truly special. Beautiful premises and classy rooms in a traditional cretan style and a lot of privacy as the resort stretches out and offers a lot of areas and space. All restaurants and bars offer high quality and fine dining experiences. They are always open for special requests and do the very best to accommodate guest wishes. And if you are looking for special events and activities: how about a trip on a sailing yacht, private cooking class, wine tasting…? The staff will create any surprise you might have in mind. It was our first time staying at this hotel for my daughters wedding. The hotel is beautifully situated on the coast and has panoramic views of the surrounding areas. The hotel itself is unique with a beautiful breakfast dining area. We also used the restaurants situated in the grounds of the hotel and we also visited the sister hotel where we also dined. The food was amazing. My daughter got married outside the greek church which is also on the property grounds, then we had a fabulous creten meze at the old mill restaurant which was fabulous. The staff all greeted us with a smile everyday and went over and beyond to make our holiday/wedding special. We would definitely recommend and hope to return in the future.
